Another of those aesthetically, in my opinion, images; the pallete of colours, those strong rhythmic horizontals behind the vertical of the three figures. What sets it off particularly is the proportional heights and depth into the image of three of them - that instructor seems a short one, which always makes them more sadistic - and the diagonal of the drill rifles (especially as they are that rust-red, being weighted replicas for the purpose of such drill training).

Recently posted by another here - shall honour their citation when I relocate their original post - as part of a photograph of three but felt he deserved, if only on aesthetical grounds (yep...), his own post in his own right...

The image works, its simplicity makes it all more explicit, as the the fall - somewhat erotic in its sinuous profile - of the chain is juxtapositioned against those apparently MTP combat trousers gives it a potential context as to a military situation.  The way the hand is grasping, letting its ends both play to the floor, it purveys a sense of purpose...

('MTP' - it stands for Multi-Terrain Pattern - is the design used by the United Kingdom's armed forces, so a clue to the possible source of the pic, though is also a frabric design used by some US service groups, though as to why it was taken must be left to our kinky minds...)

What brought it back to mind was a friend of mine, when showing me his latest batch of artistic photographs of discarded marine chains, recently said:

"There's a physicality and power with chains that I enjoy.  Maybe something to do with bondage experiences."

Can only agree.  One of my own eroticisms is the smell - and taste (yep...) - of a well-used chain, used enough to now have a dull metallic sheen, that has its links' surfaces have been abraded enough emit a certain erotic authoritive odour. And that's before you get to their sound being moved about and run through anchor points...
