Backstory:
Sprout Seedly was one of nine Main Characters for the children's show Dandy's World. When Gardenview got shut down, Sprout relied on Dyle to bring in fresh ingredients to feed the Toons. On a day like any other, Sprout was to receive another crate of produce from Dyle, yet Dyle hadn't shown.
Sprout waited patiently, knowing the conductor Toon could get busy with a lot of different things, and he was in no rush, they still had a couple days worth of supplies.
Unfortunately those days turned into weeks. And those weeks into months.
Who are the "Rations"?:
As a broad term, the Rations are Toons who are food-based or can technically be consumed. Every Toon under this list are: Sprout, Cosmo, Ginger, Cocoa, Eggson, Gourdy, Teagan, Finn, Shrimpo, and Yatta.
The Main Characters:
The main characters in this sense are not the Main Category of Toons, but rather the Toons the AU is focused around.
Sprout Seedly is the first main character of the AU. He is responsible for the Rationing, this universe's parallel to the Ichor Operation. He is deemed Lethal Class.
Toodles the Eight Ball is the second main character of the AU. She witnessed Sprout taking Gourdy, and under the innocent assumption that he was being brought to taste test, followed in secret, only to discover the Rationing.
Dyle Timesly is the third main character of the AU. He is currently MIA.
What is the "Rationing"?
The Rationing is this universe's version of the Ichor Operation. When Sprout was met with two decisions, either let the Toons starve slowly, or feed the Toons each other, he chose the second option.
Twisteds still exist in this universe, but they are divided into three categories: Spoiled, Twisted, and Lethal. Based on the names, you can assume which characters go into which ones.
How this blog will operate:
This blog is intended to mostly be a roleplay blog, from the perspective of Sprout Seedly within this AU.
Anons are allowed—and encouraged—to interact with Sprout. Think of it as multipurpose. It will serve as the homebase for most of the AU.
Other Toons can answer questions of they're directed at a particular Toon. (ex: "Hey Cosmo, how are you feeling?" "Toodles, are you sure you don't want to eat?") Although some may answer in place of Sprout even if not directed at them. This will happen if I feel like it's a good moment to reveal some lore!
Roleplay blogs can interact too! This blog will work under the assumption that Toon roleplayers are from either before the Rationing or from an alternate universe outside of Sprout's Desperation!
Small, one-paged doodles, art, or comics will also appear here, if remembered.
