This is Kore! (Pronounced Kor-ee or Cora) She’s Persephone before well, becoming Persephone lol

This version is specifically her Rise of Red version, I’m still working on her adult design.

So yap session start. Kore is the sheltered daughter of Demeter. Her mother was pregnant with her at a young age, around 18-19. Kores father didn’t believe he was ready to have a child, so he ran and left Demeter to raise Kore alone.

Demeter, in fear of Kore following her footsteps, became overprotective of her. She raised her to be careful with who she befriended and to focus on her future and studies. Because of this, Kore isn’t the most social and often comes off as mean and intimidating.

While working on Kore, I did some research in how Disney wrote the Gods and the actual mythos surrounding them. In Disney, the only gods we know are actually related are the three brothers (Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon). This was to remove all incest from the story.

I’ve also always had an issue with most interpretations of Persephone that make her extremely naive to the point she comes off as a child. I wanted her to be mature for her age (I.e. her expectations and serious behavior) yet still a bit naive (I.e. not understanding many social cues and having a hard time socializing because of how she was sheltered.)
