In 1924 Norman joined the cast of “Hot Water,” featuring the famed actor Harold Lloyd. 

Lloyd was an actor, comedian, director, screenwriter and stuntperson most known for his silent films of the Twenties.

Can You Spot Norman on the Titanic?

[ANSWER]

Today is the 105th anniversary of the worst disaster in maritime history, the sinking of the RMS Titanic. More than 1500 people lost their lives in the tragedy.

The story of the luxury liner has captured the imaginations of many over the past hundred years, from authors to treasure hunters to filmmakers. James Cameron’s slavish attention in detail in re-creating the ship for his 1997 blockbuster film has made "Titanic” one of the most popular films of the last few decades. 

Though the invented story of Jack and Rose can be eye-rolling at time, there’s no doubt that the final scene on the ship’s staircase has everyone in tears by the time the film ends. 

The real life story is much less romantic, and the stories told by those on the rescue ships that arrived too late to help are grim. It’s a juggling act to be fascinated by the glamorous stories of those on the ship, enjoy the over-the-top movie, and still cry for the devastating loss. 

By the time I finished writing this I felt guilty for sticking Norman in the picture!
