Musical fandoms were a mistake. This isn’t a joke post the only benefit to fandoms of musicals is the content that’s created as a gift to the original show but that’s overshadowed by swarms of aggressive fans who constantly attack the creators of their fandom, not to mention attack, harass, and stalk the actors and creative teams behind the shows and treat professional productions of shows like conventions.
The majority of fandoms are 13-15 year olds watching shows meant for audiences of 16-17 year olds at the youngest, not being old enough to fully grasp the heavy subject matters and just reducing the show to it’s one off jokes and potential ships to make up for that, destroying the original story and then punishing the show creators and team for it. It’s 14 year olds commenting suggestive things on 20+ year old actor’s selfies and demanding these actors act out your ships in their personal lives, harassing them at stage doors and on social media. I get embarrassed anytime I see any of y’all doing anything on social media at this point you just gotta take a step back and look at yourselves and the way you’re acting towards these professionals trying to do their jobs.
