FAREWELL TO WILL ROGERS...

On August 15, 1935, "American Original" Will Rogers died in a plane crash in Alaska with aviator Wiley Post. Rogers was beloved by the country, who brought America humor during the darkest days of the Great Depression. The Oklahoma native conquered vaudeville, newspapers, books, radio, and movies and it was always said that he "never met a man he didn't like."

I got to thinking about this after the Ask I received yesterday. This is Sam. 👇

Sam was a smaller German Shepherd and he was very smart. I taught him that if he asked quietly for a treat, he could have it. If I said in a low voice “gimme a boof”, that meant to ask for the treat in a very low “roof”.

It didn’t always work though. Many times he would forget the lesson until he didn’t get the treat and I would have to say- “no, I said gimme a boof” after which he would pitter patter in the ground in excitement and try to contain himself. It went like this-

Me: Gimme a boof.

Sam: WOOF (at 120 decibels)

Me: No, gimme a boof. (repeat ask if needed)

Оно создано на месте бывшей шахты по добыче бурого угля, и на его месте можно найти леса, улицы и даже некоторые строения.

Со временем промышленный ландшафт превратился в популярную зону отдыха и один из самых необычных объектов для дайвинга в Центральной Европе. Площадь водоема составляет около 19 квадратных километров, а максимальная глубина достигает 84 метров.

Эксперты отмечают, что благодаря высокой прозрачности воды видимость во время погружений может превышать 30 метров, что позволяет рассматривать деревья и другие объекты даже на большой глубине. Дайверы описывают озеро как сочетание сказочного леса и фантастического пейзажа. Под водой можно увидеть стволы деревьев, покрытые ракушками, заросли водных растений и резкие перепады глубин.

Over time, the industrial landscape has become a popular recreation area and one of the most unusual diving sites in Central Europe. The area of the reservoir is about 19 square kilometers, and the maximum depth reaches 84 meters.

Experts note that due to the high transparency of the water, visibility during diving can exceed 30 meters, which allows you to view trees and other objects even at great depths. Divers describe the lake as a combination of a fabulous forest and a fantastic landscape. Underwater, you can see tree trunks covered with shells, thickets of aquatic plants and sudden changes in depth.
