catching up;;Â misshopaholicx
Of course the shipment was late. Why wouldn't it be?
He'd been supposed to get off work nearly half an hour ago, but the delivery truck had come late and the coworker meant to take over after him hadn't showed up yet. Thus, he'd been saddled with restocking the shelves ("Please, Stan, I know this is a lot to ask, but I'm so swamped with all of these orders. People these days can't just come into the store and get something themself, they all want it delivered!"), which were practically bare at this time of the week. On top of all of that, this was supposed to be his day off. Unbelieveable.
He swore quietly as he dropped a stack of cans on the floor, grumbling as he walked around the aisle to pick them up. The bell above the door jingled and he had to suppress a sigh; as small as the store was, it seemed no one could ever find anything. He'd more than likely have to help customers until he left, which of course meant he'd be staying longer. Whatever. He'd just continue stocking the shelves unless he was approached.
The work uniform was incredibly tacky if he was being honest; a dark green button up vest over a white t-shirt and brown pants. Atrocious. His shoes, beat up black sneakers, looked pretty out of place against the crispness of the rest of his clothing. Oh, well. What can you do? After finally collecting all of the cat food cans, he started putting them in their proper places on the rack, honestly hoping he wouldn't be approached by customers. He had about 0 patience for old ladies looking for sweaters for their chihuahuas today.
