Spooky Time

Here is the first part of the multi part Zombie Halloween prop I have been working on. 

So my friends dad works at a thrift store and anything they have that can’t be sold they get rid of, and he brings them home, if he thinks they’re useful especially for Halloween. 

So she brought me a few of the CPR dummies, and I wasn’t sure what to do with them, and then it hit me.  So I took the head off, it came apart easily, and gathered up some supplies, and set to work. 

(Now I am no expert, and my technic may and probably does, vary from other peoples. I have done my projects before, my way, and have had success, so if you have your own technic, or have seen others do things different, feel free to do it the way you want. )

Each picture also has a comment on them with some abridged details about the process.

Cover your work space, I used an old sheet that I use when i craft and paint any way. 

Materials I used: 

Old Paint Brush,

Mod Podge

Cotton Balls

Cotton rounds cosmetic pads.  

I also had a marker to draw and color certain parts of the head 

Also some fake nails which i had laying round from Halloween.

Now I will say that the generic, the brands of the cotton balls and cosmetic pads work so well because they come apart easier. 

From a few years ago, this is part of my lawn decor. These are my Hexens, my coven of witches. Each has a name and a story and this year, many of them are getting a makeover as they are in need. But after 10 years, what do you expect. Plus most of them were made, and 3 or 4 were bought or gifted to me. 

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is one of my all time favorite stories. The Headless Horseman is such a beautifully creepy figure. And it is set in the Fall.
