Bibib - poetic form
I'm trying to do more set verse/form poetry this year, and one thing I love about it is that one can invent one's own as a sort of little game. So in January, when I was trying to stick with a set poetic form every day, I decided that to stick with that goal I would make the one I did for the last day a form of its own. and then I did that form for all of February to practice and play with it.
A bibib is a syllabic set verse, like a cinquain or octet. No fixed rhymes, but the syllables follow this pattern per line:
nine syllables nine syllables six syllables six syllables six syllables eight syllables
hence. bibib. 18 - 18 - 8.
