i love chit chatting with people who grew up in the south but don’t have thick accents cause all of us are like “oh yeah, i will make my accent thicker in certain situations.” Like whether its just like a very southern old person comes up to you at work or like someone’s being rude so you just gotta turn on the southern charm. Its also fun cause its like my natural accent just exaggerated but i also am a performer who does different accents depending on the time of year. But some southernisms probably sneak into my accents

my sister asked me to babysit my sweet baby niece while she’s at a wedding nearby and I’m so excited. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to see her or my siblings (i’ve been trying. honestly i just need to figure out when my siblings are hanging out next and i need to crash it). Its not for another like 2 weeks but i’m just so excited. We’re gonna have dance parties and i’m gonna show her some new music! I’m gonna double check with my sister and i’ll probably put on some old school sesame street for her. WE’LL MAKE COOKIES!!! (I’ll make cookies and we’ll see if she’s interested in helping). one of my coworkers is like this middle aged dude who picked up crochet like two years ago. And he does like. Hats and scarves with the multicolored yarns. And thats fine. He brings in his crochet to work, I have my knitting. But this man has a tendency to talk down to women. And its the fuckin “oh i could NEVER do what you do. That looks so messy” no jeremy you could NEVER FUCKING DO WHAT I DO. I’ve been knitting for 13 goddamn years, I taught myself without a fucking woobles kit. I’ve been tapestry knitting and making my own patterns for 5 years. I make goddamn ART. It is normally silly art (because i am of a whimsical temperment) but don’t fucking look down at me. I make things look easy, BECAUSE I AM GOOD AT THEMMM
