A Well-Overdue Update
So, it’s been a long time. Over a year, actually.
Though I burnt myself out and left the community a while ago, I recently returned and recalled the charm of it and remembered why I even began.
Life had also become hectic and with recent global events, I had time to reflect on this project, among others.
From yesterday’s post, you probably figured it out. Strange Placements is back from the shadows. But not in the way that you may expect. As we’ve said in the past, our art skills are lacking in many regards. That was one of many reasons we chose to discontinue the comic.
But Strange Placements’ focus never truly was on the art. It was the writing. The story behind it all. And if continuing the story means sacrificing a good portion of the visual, then so be it.
Strange Placements will be returning, not as a full-blown comic, but as a write-up, in a similar form to how Voltra is now doing the Storyshift Reboot.
This doesn’t mean that we won’t have visuals whatsoever. I anticipate still using textboxes within, and whatever assets we may already have. Maybe brief maps will be created, to give you, the reader, a better picture of the story going on.
The story also won’t be fully rebooted. Rather, we will just continue from where the comic left off: The beginning of the Taiga arc.
So stay tuned, folks. We have one hell of a story to tell.
