Everytime bi utena discourse comes up I get mad bc it really seems folks cannot refute it with a reasonable argument, like it's bad saying she's bi because she's a lesbian and that's lesbian erasure and lesbophobia it's simple, but noo they need to say "Utena isn't bi because she was abused by men and if she was it would mean she had attraction to these men!" It's almost if Utena liked Akio/Touga it would make her abuse "less terrible" and bi women can't be abused apparently, they probably don't intentionally think this but that phrasing implies wheter they like it or not. "But they say she's bi therefore she wasn't abused by these men!" Again these people are being misogynistic and biphobic all at once, if they think Utena wasn't a victim they're just terrible and they also think women can't be attracted to their abusers I wouldn't even waste time to explain Utena have comphet. I really hate when people call Utena bi because she isn't but folks always love using a terrible argument as to why she isn't, the answer should always be "She is a lesbian that was going through comphet, she never liked them" and not a phrase that literally PUTS REAL LIFE WOMEN in danger it's not intentional but always pay attention to what you say…
