Coming-of-age ritual. Or they're known as the Hatchling. This is one of my three versions of how the protagonist got their nickname stuck. I decided it would be ironic if the more anxious Hal (+ remember their stomach twists) ended up passing the ritual the first time around. Unlike their friend 🗿👍
