college student mike wheeler studying literature who writes poetry but it all seems to be about one person with a certain flair for art, and his friends and classmates try to figure out whom. his poems are all full of little details, like 'crazy together' and 'cool, cool' and 'it was a seven' and nobody can figure out what they mean. one day will comes to visit and mike makes an off-hand comment about going crazy with all the work, and will smiles a little and gives mike a secretive look and says, 'well, crazy together, right?' and one of mike's classmates who's passing by hears and almost high on energy drinks and chocolate, with a crazed look in his eye, shrieks, 'IT'S THE GUY! ITS THE POEM GUY!!'. and mike goes red immediately while will looks around confused since the crowd around them are whispering to each other about 'the poetry guy' while mike hides his face in his hands. will asks mike about it after they escape the crowd of exclamations and congratulations and ooohs and ahhhhs. mike replies with a simple, 'i write poems about you'. will is baffled and blurts out, 'i've made portraits of you' and suddenly the silence between them tenses and they don't know what to do with it.
