They add fanfics to goddamned goodreads without a second thought without realizing that’s as ridiculous as adding your friend’s dining room as a restaurant on yelp just so you can post a review about it

If you are a socially anxious person, you have to socialize. Your panic/anxiety attacks will only get worse and trigger more frequently if you constantly avoid contact with The Public. Not saying that you need to be a social butterfly- but there is a genuine problem with not being able to order your own meal at a restaurant. And it cannot be solved by always having someone else do it for you.

I used to have that exact strainer. It was in a box of hand-me-down kitchen things from my grandmother when I got my first apartment in 1996. It broke last year.
This is the best strainer in the world and i check the housewares aisle in every thrift store I visit hoping to find another one. No strainer has ever been able to live up to this icon, this superstar, this vision of grace and elegance.
It’s the two-quart Tupperware colander. The handle is large and sturdy but still comfortable to hold in your hand. The ridge on the end helps it fit on any size pot you need to rest it over. The little feet at the bottom let you drain directly into the sink without leaving the contents sitting in a puddle. It’s got a spout on both sides so you can pour comfortably from the left or right hand, towards or away from yourself as needed. The holes are at the bottom so you can control where strained liquids flow, large enough to drain quickly, small enough to keep from losing bits of food through them. The bright yellow colour is easy to spot in the back of a cupboard or dishwasher.
I am passionate about this specific strainer in a way that I am not passionate about anything else in my life. I would run back into a burning building to rescue this strainer. This strainer is my go-to wedding or housewarming gift. This strainer is my beloved family member. I have shared more meals with this strainer than I have with anyone else in my life. This strainer has never, ever let me down. It is the most perfectly designed item I have ever seen or handled in my life. Every aspect of this strainer is made to maximize convenience and functionality. It is flawless, a form of complete and total perfection. If you told me this strainer was the face of God, recreated on Earth in Their image, I would believe you.
Anyway, this is the best painting I’ve ever seen and they should take down the Mona Lisa so there’s an appropriate space to hang it in the Louvre.

fleshing out my warden's backstory... Lefei has scars from his ice/shock powers kind of a mix between frost patterns and scars from a lightning strike! more about it under cut (and baby Lefei sketch)
Lefei doesn't remember his childhood at all, all his earlier memories are already in the circle. but! I will tell you that he was taken to the circle because he was very proficient in ice and lightning magic, so much it was uncontrollable by him alone and it had done damage to his body already
his first few weeks in the circle were with the high enchanters, specifically with the spirit healers, and the first spirit healer to actually make progress with treating him and making it safer for him to do magic was Wynne! so they met before the game plot :]
the high enchanters were able to make it so that his magic didn't hurt him, but the scars remained, as an adult Lefei always hid his scars because it felt like a reminder of his destructive nature, something that almost made the circle turn him tranquil (but Wynne was the mage to make the decision against it! she saw potential in Lefei and was very happy when he passed his harrowing)
this overall is something that maybe if Lefei was a companion, it would be the thing he reveals to the player if he trusts them, so in my canon it is something he reveals to his companion as the plot develops
first Morrigan sees the scars when Lefei and Alistair are getting healed at Flemeth's hut, because before that he was very careful not to show more skin than he needed to, ofcourse he didn't tell her much at first and only confided in her about his past when they became closer
next was Alistair, and he was the first person Lefei really confided in, their relationship is very close, being the last two grey wardens, but still Lefei explained his past in parts, sharing little by little as the two became good friends
the most important one is Zevran, Lefei only showed his scars during their first night together but he didn't explain them, Zevran thought it's too personal to get into and only pestered Lefei about it after a couple of nights, again, Lefei revealed his past in parts, but Zevran was the second person (after Alistair) who Lefei let touch his bare skin
I'll tell more at a later time but this is what I wanted to share so far :] thank you to whoever read this far!
