pearson comes to camp with the proposition - but i think that micah helped to set that up. probably got to talking with some o’driscolls and hatched it up. if the story about colm wanting peace had originally came from micah, i think there would have been a lot more doubt, and he knows this. it also puts less pressure on him when shit eventually hits the fan.

the real sticking point to why micah was involved is that arthur is the key part of colm o’driscoll’s plan, and a key part of it is having arthur separate from dutch. colm reveals to arthur that kidnapping him was the sole reason for the meeting. colm knows arthur. he knows how special arthur is to dutch. and, possibly, how beneficial it could have been to micah to have arthur out of the way.

at the beginning of blessed are the peacemakers when dutch, hosea, arthur, pearson and micah are talking, micah is the one who suggests that arthur come with them, and the one who suggests he watch from farther away. how would colm have known that arthur was going to be there unless there was someone on the inside making sure of it? pearson says nothing about wanting arthur to be a lookout, only micah.
