Ibmannymontana Some friends know, I've been trying to learn about my family's history for some time now. But like many Mexicans, Mexican Americans, Chicanos... we can't trace our roots past our grandparents. Anytime I'd ask about the past my grandparents would deflect. Either too painful to relive, or they just didn't know. The most I ever got was that we're native but when you're Mexican that could mean a lot of things. Anyway, I did this shoot to feel more in tuned with the past. If anyone knows a good database or places to research that I haven't hit yet please send them my way. Hope you like the pics!
