What isn’t allowed:

Real Person Fiction - specific features are fine, reference in appearance are fine, but it will not specifically be a person, celebrity or otherwise, in any position or role.

Children - those who appear underage or exhibit underage behavior (ex. Diapers) are fine, teenagers are fine, depiction of actual children simply isn’t something this author is willing to write.

Established Universes - can’t get paid (even tipped) for fanfiction, so all serial numbers will be filed well off.

The real key point here is that at this stage, this blog is a proof of concept. That’s why I’ve chosen Ao3, and why there aren’t any rates or subscriptions posted anywhere.

As for Ao3 itself - what I’ve proposed here isn’t actually against its terms of service! I’ve read through all of them again just to be sure, but what it boils down to is this:

There can be no reference to commercial interests (I.e. payment) on Ao3 itself, nor can it be used as a marketing platform. Original fiction, however, is allowed, provided it falls within specific parameters, which my writing here would.

As of right now, the idea for any payment would be tips, in a way not tied to Ao3 at all - and you’ll notice I still don’t have that link up yet even here. Even if I did, it would be entirely voluntary, no obligation even to request submitters. To be safe and respectful of Ao3, I may not set that link up yet at all! I definitely won’t be posting anything for monetary gain until I have a few examples up from early requests: I’m not out here to be a scammer.

The goal is to move to a personal, privately hosted website if there’s consistent interest, but that’s a time investment I won’t even start in earnest until I’ve ensured A) that I can deliver on what people want and B) there’s enough interest to merit that.
