one of my pet peeves is when people say that jayfeather is unreasonable and unfair to be angry about brightheart’s mentorship. and im gonna give people the benefit of the double because i think abled people dont realize that there is a real distinction between people who become disabled and people who are born disabled, and that’s the tension going on here. those experiences are radically different, and while both kinds of people can find solidarity, abled people lump them together a lot without really realizing this
