as she walked into down the street, someone’s heart beat pulled her attention. not like hunger would pull her attention but more like pure curiosity. as she rounded the corner, her head tilted at the sight of the curly haired boy completely asleep on the sidewalk. “what the hell.” she mumbled before walking over to him and kneeling down. she shoved his arm and when she got no response, she had the idea to walk away and leave him there. but she decided since she’s been in new york for basically almost over a year, it was time to make some friends. she poked at his chest before trying to shake him again. still no response. “hey kid!! hello, get up!! the sidewalk isn’t a bed.” she snapped but nothing. it didn’t take her long to figure out that he wasn’t sleeping. “shit.” she groaned as she grabbed the boy’s arm and wrapped it around her shoulders before using her speed to get back to the apartment building and inside of her room. she slowly laid him down on the bed and backed up to the wall, her arms crossed over her chest as she watched him for a few minutes before leaving to grab a cold bottle of water, bringing it back into the room. as she moved to stand next to the bed, she twisted off the top of the water bottle and slowly began to pour a little on his face.
