I'm super super excited on getting this chapter going, it's kind of a leap for me in many ways, so I hope what I'm bringing is as satisfying for y'all as it is for me /A\ <3

This was the first drawing I made while designing them before starting the actual illustration. Dionysus’s outfit is based on ancient Greek clothing, specifically a mix of men’s and women’s garments. If there was one concept I had in mind, it was that I wanted to portray Dionysus without using any red grape colors (purple) at all. My Dionysus’s concept is white grapes!

And then there’s Ariadne. I designed her loosely around thread and flax flowers (the flowers of the flax plant, which linen is made from). Her outfit is based on Cretan women’s clothing.

This was the original sketch I drew, but I got so fixated on the details that I messed up the anatomy... so I had to redraw it. I also tweaked the designs a little.

Their size difference is actually about this big. I just really like huge men lol. (In my universe, the Greek gods, including the goddesses, are all large in build.)
