Name's Lisa, 38 years old from San Diego, Cali :) . I am a hardcore TS2 SimLit writer and creator. I probably play the actual game only like 1% of the time. hehe. You will find almost all Sims 2 stuff here, but some Sims 4 might pop up here and there. I don't care for Sims 3, sorry. Teehee. Enjoy your stay!
It's all in the name of the pose box. There is like, a ton of sexual poses in here. Not for virgin eyes! So if you are not into that kind of stuff, turn back now. Just sayin'.
Otherwise... hit "keep reading" and ENJOY! đ
QUICK NOTE: You may notice that some pictures are very hard to see or read. This is because Tumblr only allowed for so many pictures and images sizes. I'm sorry about that. I have included a folder called "reference images" inside the downloads that define things much, much better. Again, I apologize đ
And there you have it!
đ -PS- đ
I strive to be as gender-neutral with my posts as much as possible. That is why you'll notice, I would label sims as "Sim A" or "Sim B" vs Male or Female. Or you'll see I say "partner" instead of "him" or "her". Because, well, these poses can actually look just as great for same-sex couples as well! In the end, Love is Love! đŠââ¤ď¸âđ¨ đŠââ¤ď¸âđâđŠ đ¨ââ¤ď¸âđâđ¨ Use as you like!

I have indeed, created another overlay posebox to help perfect your story screenshots! This works on all ages. Yes, that includes babies!!
Do you ever have a certain pose or animation that you love, but you just need to move things a little here and there to nudge them in place? Whether it be turning heads so that two sims can look at each other when they're talking, or even go as far as bending thighs and knees to get a sim to look like they are sitting. I have created just that literally from head to toe.
They are all frozen movements of joints per degrees, along with one animated function that gets a body part to move up and down so you can pause it just at the right time to get the perfect screenshot for your story.
â IMPORTANT!! â
Keep in mind, this posebox is based off of the "T" pose that you see in milkshape when you import a Sims 2 model. So if the shoulder or elbow moves 22 degrees, it will move from that outstretched-arm position the model always has. I showed an example picture below of someone using it on an existing pose. I'm sorry about that, it does get annoying but it is what it is lol
âMOVE ENTIRE SIMâ animation
Move entire sim (MES): Wtf is this and why is it even a thing? I'm sure that's what you're asking. Okay truth be told, I like this one a lot because it's efficient and good for those fine-tuned vertical positionings. As freaking amazing OMSP shelves are, and I absolutely can't live without them, they are not always super simple to use and requires a lot of going back and forth with buy mode. Not to mention, the movement increments suck and don't pinpoint that exact position you want your sim to be at. For example, if you have a kissing pose but the lips just aren't lining up the way you want them to. Maybe one needs to move up a little, and you can use this.
Anyway, moving forward, here are all the pictures:(Yes, Iâm aware they look weird, but this was the best way I though to show it. So pardon if the sim looks like they have a million limbs or a sim is breaking their neck. Hahaha! đ )
Also, there are animated overlays to where your sim can move a body part up and down so you can fine-tune positioning. The slowmotion cheat helps with this as well to fine-tune that right place. PS- sorry not all animations showed up in previews. Tumblr kept throwing error messages for some of the gifs đđđ
***All MES poses in picture examples use a modeling pose âhip leaning to left(9)â with this awesome Modeling Posebox by Decorgal at MTS
MORE EXAMPLES:
Example 1: Pool Recliner animation:
MES Example 1:
Not just positioning, but this function works well for if you want to have Sims rise up into interesting places, whether it be high up in trees or chill on rooftops. Pause the game once they reach that certain place, and then take your screenshot.
MES Example 2:
The sinking animation is really good if you want sims to go down low, for example, pools play a good part for this. You can have that one dramatic scene where somebody passes out in the pool and sinks all the way down to the bottom. Example picture above shows a lying down pose with it applied.
â KNOWN ISSUES! â
SORRY, NOTHINGâS PERFECT đ¤Ş
So it's only fair I address to the issues so you know what you're getting into.
Thigh issues:
So you have animate 180 front and side, what about back? Well, there is a glitch. When you're trying to animate the thigh backward at the hip joint, it goes all the way around 360. I don't know why it does this, but it does. Milkshape seems to butt heads with sims and this joint. Sorry, glitches are bitches.
Another issue: What? No ring finger??? Â Sorry, unfortunately not. The ring finger doesn't have a bone. It's flaccid, and depends on the pinky and middle finger to take it wherever it wants, if you know what I mean.
MES issues: The "move entire sim" animations works with poses only. If you try to use this with in-game animations, the sim indeed will move, however all their joints will be anchored in place, which shows a very funny looking result.
So again, use this with poses only. I do apologize that you may have to get a little tricky and fiddle around with these to get them where you want them. Again, they are based off of the T pose and not the outright pose you are currently using. So Sorry, I wish it was as simple as that, but I gave it the best I can. I really hope you still use them even after pulling your hair out trying to get that perfect shoulder positioning or whatnot.
Other than that, I am very proud of how this came out and I hope it could be of good use to you as well. Happy Sim-storytelling and I hope you enjoy.
Hello all! Okay, this is my VERY FIRST post on tumblr, so if anything goes wrong, sorry. Beginnerâs bungle. lol. please be kind. đ
This is an overlay posebox for Sims 2 with many miscellaneous âpartâ poses that layer onto existing actions. Perfect for screenshots and storytelling if you want just the one hand gesture, or lots of them all at once.
OMSP slot shelves are highly recommended for some poses. Get them here at MTS.Â
Download link for this posebox is all the way at bottom of this post if you'd prefer to skip all this and just go get it.
The poesbox is divided into Self and Interactive body parts...
Head overlays are good if you want sims to look at other sims when talking or just get the head to face something you want it to. If you are making movies, you can have nods and shakes, which is cool. Sims saying yes and no to each other. hehe.
Uh, floating? Grounded? does it matter? đ¤ˇââď¸
I prefer floating because the animations that are under the overlays stay normal, whereas, when the base skeleton in Milkshape is pulled down, the anchors get all screwed up and want to stay put. The images below are an example of this monstrosity that happens with grounded...
This is the best way, but some people prefer not to use OMSP shelves. And not ALL animations get lopsided, so I went ahead and included grounded just because. Get the below ground OMSPÂ here
So cute! I mean, this is how real couples interact, right? Itâs good to group up some of the loving interactive overlays I made. The image below is an example of a happy couple strolling through a park on top of talk interactions... or Decorgalâs Talk hack is even better to put these overlays on, so you have a chatting couple. đ
I also recommend this talking overlay hack at MTSÂ because you can have sims use a walk-in-place overlay as opposed to my still-walking pose.
đĽ°đđĽ°đ
MORE EXAMPLES:
Sometimes you have that special âStretchSkeletonâ sim, and you wanted to have a little person in your game with the tall boyfriend... but then the mismatched interaction alignment ruins all the fun...
My overlays make for a very cute screenshot if things are captured just right... it takes some fiddling and time, but itâs worth it for that âbig guy and his fun-sized little ladyâ moment.
Last but not least, just little instructions on the swimming overlays. Who goes to the pool just to swim? Uhhh, no one. Put these on top of existing interactions and throw them under the OMSP below ground shelf (required). Then so many things can be done in the pool.Â
Best for SimLit and Storytelling. They are NOT actually swimming, itâs just poses.
â ď¸known issueâ ď¸ - sorry the animations are sucky and quite robotic, but milkshape and in-game donât seem to match up in movements. Donât know why. But I gave it my best. But itâs really good with still shots for the variations.)
â ď¸â ď¸â ď¸
Sorry. Nothingâs perfect... đŹ But I figured you should know, there are some things that might interfere. When I made the middle finger pose, the ring finger has no bone, so it kind of âcollapsedâ onto itself while bending the pinky. (limpy skin. lol) Itâs best, if you do use the middle finger, to show it from back-hand view only. Otherwise, limpy-finger will show. Just an idea đ
Also, interactive overlays do bleed. So getting a perfect couple-pose might take some tinkering and fiddling until you get the perfect shot. Itâs annoying, but still worth it.
Also, the animations in the game are way better than the gifs I posted. So donât be discouraged. đ Also, the bending degrees in some of my back or head poses are NOT accurate. Sorry, Milkshape sometimes doesnât line up right with the game.
