they know that it wouldn't be healthy for them to stop doing whatever it is that making you jealous, nor would it be healthy to leave you to cope alone, and so you two find a compromise—one that comforts you and helps you feel less insecure while they do whatever it is that causes your jealousy

maybe it's over them romanticizing a character in a video game, and they hold your hand while they play and explain the benefits of this route and reaffirm that they love you, not this NPC

maybe it's over a friend or ex of theirs, and so they let you stay around and will happily drop an ocasional "i love my partner" every now and then if it makes you feel better

maybe it's just a feeling that pops up every now and then and so they just hold you whenever you're feeling that way and whisper comforting words of into your ear

they know that it only hurts the relationship to stigmatize any emotions, be it anger, sadness, or jelousy, even if the world likes to stigmatize those emotions. yes, it isn't healthy to let those emotions control the relationship or the people in it, but it is healthy to learn ways to cope with and overcome these this emotions together

they love you and understand that even if you know they will always love you and will always be faithful, that sometimes the brain is a little dumb and causes insecurities. they won't hold it against you, they know that these feelings will pass soon enough with some reassurance, and maybe they even feel jealous sometimes and you help them in return

your F/O love you, and feeling a little insecure and in need of comfort sometimes will never change that
