You know when you’re going away so you can’t buy groceries, but nothing in your pantry makes sense? I present to you: spaghetti with bakkwa (Chinese beef jerky), buna shimeji mushrooms, roasted garlic, and chili flakes.

Chunky Spaghetti Sauce My kitchen smell amazing. Late posting. It’s actually 2 hrs to go LOL This is chunky compared to the recipe I posted months ago. This more veggies used, the chunkier it’ll be. Make sense? Recipe is simple.

In a 5 qt pot, fry:

2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons of minced garlic

2 Vidalia onion chopped

2 green peppers chopped

12 whole mushrooms chopped

When the onions start to become translucent, add:

three 14.5oz cans of Italian diced tomatoes. Add:

2 tablespoons of parsley

1 tablespoon of Italian seasonings

¼ tablespoon of black pepper

½ tablespoon of onion powder

½ tablespoon of garlic powder

½ tablespoon of paprika

Do not add salt! The salt is already in the cans of tomatoes.

Now stir all of it.

Add 3 more cans of Italian diced tomatoes.

add 1 can of water

Boil uncovered for 2 hours. Stir every 15 minutes. It will reduce, so don’t let it burn at the bottom of the pot.

After 2 hours, cover with lid to low, reduce Heat and stir every half an hour.
