Imagine Marc confessing to Matt one day that when he was a kid, before he lost his brother, his family would make homemade lemonade and it was one of Marc’s favorite things. Marc explains, with some degree of nostalgia, that his mom would make blueberry syrup to mix with the lemonade. Marc mumbles about it being his favorite drink from his childhood. So naturally Matt decides he's going to make Marc a blueberry syrup and homemade lemonade.

And of course, it takes forever and is incredibly painful, but Matt does it anyway. They don't have a citrus juicer, so Matt has to do it by hand. Because he’s Daredevil, his hands are covered in micro tears and scrapes, so the lemon juice causes a lot of cursing. The blueberry syrup goes better, all Matt has to do for that is mix equal parts water and sugar and simmer it with the blueberries for ten minutes. It takes the better part of an afternoon but Matt gets it done.

It's all worth it when Marc comes home, a little tired from what he was doing (job hunting maybe), but he absolutely lights up when he sees the reddish pitcher of lemonade. Matt's even done the dishes so Marc doesn't have to think about them. Matt can almost hear the smile on Marc's face, and he definitely hears the wonder in Marc's voice when he asks, "is this what I think it is?"

To which Matt replies, "it is."

Marc then wraps his arms around Matt and kisses him so deeply that Matt’s almost bent over backward. Matt tells Marc to try it before he thanks him too much. Marc does, and tells Matt, "it's perfect. Tastes like summer at home."

And Matt smiles, relieved to have gotten it right. And he tells Marc, "I'm glad. But if you ever want me to do it again we need a juicer for lemons. The acid against my hands was not worth it."

"Aw, I'm not worth that?"

Matt shoves Marc's shoulder. "You are. But only once Spector."
