Hey guys, I just thought I'd make an update post after... well, everything. I know that a lot of people are talking about making a new oc to replace the person that was part of vsmp, and I know that they were an important/semi-main point of Haunted Eyes, My Broken Heart. And I love that, support it, and will boost it. However, in terms of my own story, I'm at a bit of a crossroad. While I want to follow with the rest of the fandom and replace him one to one. Avid the character and Avid the creator as two very different people to me. I refuse to let them take this story from me, refuse to let them hold any power over me, and let them claim anything of mine. So I'll put it in your hands, do I replace Avid the character with whatever new OC that the community makes? Or do I keep the name and let the creator disappear?

In light of everything that’s happened since the statements about Avid/Marm were shared on June 7th, 2026, I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and send support to all the writers, artists, and creators who’ve been affected. Situations like this can be discouraging—and for a lot of people, genuinely upsetting, confusing, or even hurtful—especially when so much time, creativity, and heart have gone into building stories and characters we all care about.

But this community—especially within the MCYT fandom spaces—has always been about creativity, resilience, and collaboration, and I truly believe that, in time and at our own pace, we can move forward together in a positive way.

With that in mind, I wanted to float an idea and see who might be interested:

✨ What if we came together as a fandom to create a new original character—one we can collectively build, adapt, and integrate into our stories as needed? ✨

The goal wouldn’t be to erase or overwrite anything, or to force changes on anyone’s work.

Instead, this would be:

• A shared creative project for those who want an alternative moving forward

• A way to support each other in continuing stories with minimal disruption

• A chance to create something that reflects the strength and spirit of the community itself

• A way to channel whatever energy you’re feeling—frustration, hurt, anger, or otherwise—into something creative and positive

Think of it as a collaborative OC that anyone interested can help shape—design, personality, backstory, dynamics, etc.—and then use (or not use!) in whatever way fits their work best.

There’s absolutely no pressure to participate, and no expectation to change anything you’ve already created, or even use it at all. If you’re not ready for something like this, that’s completely okay too. This is just meant to be an option for those who would find it helpful or inspiring 💫
