felix, changbin, chan: these three are top tier emotionally intelligent communicators. felix is known for wanting to talk things out asap after a miscommunication and I see changbin doing something similar, too, but unlike felix who would push aside his own thoughts and opinions, changbin would really want to work things out in a way that both of you would understand each other. chan’s more like felix though; he would want to resolve the conflict first and then get into details when both of you are in a civil and stable state of mind.

jeongin, hyunjin: I think it depends on the topic the argument is on with these two. jeongin’s not great at expressing his emotions but he’s very willing to understand the other perspective and generally open-minded so I think if he thought you were genuinely upset, he would reflect and figure out the entire situation before approaching you and apologizing. hyunjin’s main shortcoming would be that he would only be thinking about his own feelings and opinions and realize only after the fact that he didn’t hear you out fairly. he would apologize first under the condition that he believed he didn’t give you a fair chance to voice your thoughts.

lee know, seungmin, jisung: lee know definitely wants to apologize first sometimes—he’s just not fond of verbal apologies. I see him as someone that would try to brush over an argument rather than talk it out and properly resolve it. he would apologize first if he was completely sure he was in the wrong, and even then he would hesitate because apologies don’t come easy to him. he’s incredibly sincere in his actions though, so you would be able to tell if he’s sorry by how he acts towards you (think doing his chores and then yours without being asked). seungmin’s pretty similar to lee know but he would be even more nonchalant, not even putting on a sorry act and going straight back to normal. you will have to apologize first 90% of the time—he will definitely apologize after you apologize though. jisung too, he would only apologize if you go first. otherwise you will have to pry an apology out of him, he is easily the most stubborn. but to his credit, he’s also a total softie and would make you dizzy from his affections after the fact.

all of it reminding him of the night he broke up with you. while tears streamed down your face, he had walked away.

now here he is sitting on his bed, with the ghost of your first date, feeling selfishly lonely.

it kills him when he remembers the words he had said to you at the end.

he's the one who broke up with you.

kisses to his nose, chaste and sweet and dramatic with the way you make a smacking sound with your lips. giggling at him when he makes a show of wiping it away with his sleeve, even though you know he loves it by the way his eyes shine at you with adoration every time you do it.

kisses to his cheeks, when they’re puffed out as he pours at you when you eat the last piece of kimbap, or when he’s making faces at you when you’re nervous just to make you laugh. 

kisses to his head, every time you pass by him, the action coming as second nature from how long you’ve been doing it. not being able to move your body away from him until you press your lips to his head, anywhere and everywhere you can reach. 

kisses to his fingertips when he’s sad, pulling his hands out of his jeans’ or hoodie’s pockets to bring the pads of his fingers to your lips. pressing one to each and every finger until he rewards you with a smile, small and timid but still there because of you. 

kisses to his knees when you’re laying with your head on his lap. taking a break from whatever you’re doing on your phone or letting your eyes leave the movie you’re watching together to press a kiss to his knee, whether it’s against the sweatpants he likes to wear in the winter or his bare skin during the heat of the summer.

kisses to his lips, moving your body close enough to his that you can smell the clean cologne and fresh body wash on him. close enough that you can feel his breathes wracking through his body as he struggles to catch it.

[ 11:11 ] "Are you listening?"

You blink slowly, pulling your attention from your peeling nail polish to your boyfriend. Minho looks at you from the couch, his head tilted a little as he waits for an answer.

"I can't," you say, your legs bouncing.

"Can't?"

"I can't listen right now. I'm sorry. I can't–"

"Hey," he interrupts, slapping his thighs in invitation. "C'mere."

You're quick to comply, practically leaping from your place at the dining table—leaving your untouched lunch behind. You settle yourself on his lap, wrapping your arms around him and finding the perfect crook to rest your head. He's warm.

He doesn't question you. He knows how to read you, read your ups and downs. He often spots your anxiety before you've even noticed your physical tells yourself. He takes your hand gently when you pick at your polish, wraps his fingers around your thighs when you bounce your knee, brushes your hair behind your shoulders and attempts to braid it when you fiddle with the strands a little too long. He knows.

"I'm sorry," you whisper, lips brushing against his neck. You can feel your eyes watering, all the emotion you've held back ready to burst forth now that you're surrounded by comfort—now that you're safe.

"You did well today," Minho says as his thumb slips just under the hem of your t-shirt, brushing your skin gently.

"I didn't do anything. I—"
