Naga - Part 3
spacedadshiroganeâ:
Part if him wished that his way of life didnât leave him so injured all the time but being doted on while he recovered really took the edge off of it. After over 200 years of suffering alone and in silence this was a very welcome change of pace.
Carefully he rolled into his side to admire the human a lit more and damn she was a sight for sore eyes.
The pale fabric clung to her firm and were almost transparent over where her curves touched it. The small darker hint of her nipples and the hint if dark hairâŠ. The way the garment clung to get shapely thighs left him feeling a certain way but with the night air horny monkey brain was overrode by logic and concern for her well being.
âIf I wasnât half dead Iâd be making a pass at you but Ill be good.â Hr reached over to push the hair from her cheek, his hand almost dwarfing her face as he tried his best to remain gentle.
âThough you should put on something dry, the nights get cold and stress seems to make you humans more likely to catch a cold.â
She liked the way his eyes changed when he looked at her like that. It pooled the warmth low in her stomach and made it tight at the same time. She hadnât forgotten the way he could touch her or the feel of his mouth on her skin. Or that heâd promised to do that again. Now wasnât the time. He was still too weak and hurt.
But she still liked the way he looked at her when he looked at her that way.
Closing her eyes, she leaned into his palm, savoring the warmth of his calloused hand. If he was human she would have said something about him being able to keep her warm - but he wasnât and she knew his body temperature was more fragile than that. The last thing he needed while he was still recovering was a wet body against his to chill him. Her heart thrummed at his concern over her when he was the hurt one. So she hummed and then cupped his hand in hers so that she could turn her face and press a kiss to his palm before pulling back enough to look at him.
âI will be good and change as soon as you are dry. So you should get your fill of looking now. But once you are not half-dead, I would very much like you to follow through on that pass at me.â His knuckles got another kiss and then she went back to carefully drying him off with the towel, shifting to work it through his hair, scratching gently with her nails along his scalp as she did. âWhere do you want to sleep? I can bring pillows here or I can heat the cauldron so it will stay warm all night and put the pillows near that.â
"Oh trust me, I am." Even in his weakened state Shiro took every effort to commit the vision to memory as though it would be the last thing he ever saw. Naturally he had no intention of that being the case but Lisa's kindness had been like am oasis in a life that had been barren of meaningful affection.
The naga decided it was best not to move as the full length of his form was thoroughly dried, he was not a small creature and she had a lot of him to cover. He could taste the shift in humidity, it was going to rain pretty soon and the thought of Lisa warm and dry next to him did sound inviting.
"Don't go regretting those words when I do make good on that promise." He laughed weakly before taking in a sharp breath as pain shot through his ribs. His choice made for him as he doubled over.
"Here.... here, is fine." He stated hating how vulnerable he was in front of one of the few people he'd regarded highly. He was a protector, a warrior, a being considered almost god like... Right now he couldn't even manage the short distance to the comfort of his own bedding.

spacedadshirogane: "Where's the fun in that?" He made a show of pouting as he started to connect up his laptop, fumbling in his phone to get the WiFi password he'd noted down during his last visit. Shiro leaned back as he machines fan gently whirred as it started to connect, of course the damned thing would have an update. During g this time he'd glance over to see Lisa pottering about doing god knows what in her attempt to give him privacy. Perhaps it was a good thing that the vampire was doing that as his grandmother would probably have picked up on her being of the supernatural persuasion. Minutes later, an elderly woman with kind eyes set with deep smile lines. After exchanging pleasantries, her expression took a more serious edge as she squinted closer to the screen. "You look pale...." Concern edging her voice as she pushed her glasses further up the bridge of her nose. "It's fine, works been stressful but nothing a good night's sleep won't fix." Shiros grandmother shot him one last accusationary look before finally deciding that general fatigue was a feasible reason. "Fine. Though it's a bit unusual fir you to call at this time, it must be late there?" She added awaiting her grandson to spit out what he wanted. Only then did Shiro tell her about the amulet and the strange feelings he'd gotten when he'd touched it. During that time she'd remained stoic and attentive while Shiro recounted everything.
Lisa amused herself by putting things away in the kitchen and rearranging some of the things in the cupboard. She hadn't had any reason to put things in cupboards, or anywhere in her kitchen in fact, in so long that she'd forgotten and it was an enjoyable novelty to pretend she actually cared where anything went or whether it was organized or not. The blood building broth she'd made for Shiro was the first time she'd cooked since long before she'd died.
While she meddled about, she kept both ears keenly on the conversation going on in the living area. She didn't have to look and so she could pretend she wasn't eavesdropping but her hearing was very sharp thanks to Shiro's gift of his blood and she was very curious. What did the magatama mean and what was he experiencing that might not be tied to her feeding at all? She hoped his grandmother might know at least a little, the charm he carried seemed to indicate she might. Spiritual aspects were far outside of Lisa's experience, especially these days.
Shiro had held up the magatama to the camera while his grandmother tried to figure out if the magatama was anything to worry about. Her furrowed brows caused more wrinkles to form while she assessed it.
With a sigh she shrugged and shook her head.
"It looks old so it likely has considerable spiritual energy, though don't take my word for it, there's only so much I can tell through a screen." Her features softened. "One thing is that they usually are meant to repel evil spirits... ."
Shiro couldn't help but feel his grandmother was hiding something, she seemed smaller and a little deflated.
"There's more isn't there?" Ge urged the old woman to continue .
She just nodded uncomfortably.
"You were always sensitive as a child. Used to see all sorts, of course your father didn't believe you, he never was interested in our work at the temple. Your grandfather once hoped you'd take over, but you were sick, he couldn't force that on you. "
Shiro cleared his throat in order to drown that last part out.
"He really wanted me yo take over?" Shiro uttered quietly.
"He did." Grandma Shirogane smiled. "But he also knew you had dreams of your own."
......
The conversation went to them talking about Shiros new home and fun anecdotes about his childhood before his grandmother said she'd check in with her husband and dig up more information.
Shiro said his goodbyes and closed the lid of the laptop before getting g to his feet with a soft grunt and joining the vampire in the next room.
"Leese? I'm done."
She was never going to get tired of the way he'd nicknamed her. Or the way his voice sounded when he said it. She turned when he came into the kitchen and moved to gently wind her arms around his shoulders. She didn't know how talking to his family would leave him. He obviously loved them deeply and that meant talking to them was good for him but she wasn't sure if it was also lonely or melancholy for him as well. He'd moved away from them but had it been a choice for freedom or regret? So she peered into his eyes as she asked:
"Good?"
As for the rest - there was nothing wrong with her hearing. Quite the opposite. She'd heard the entire conversation - including the affirmation about his being sick for a long time that she'd already suspected. At the moment though she was willing to play at paper walls and pretend she hadn't heard and he'd had some privacy.
For now.
"Y-yeah. It was good. A lot to think about but all is good. Its just been a while since we spoke." Shiro smiled still reeling from hearing about his 'sensitivity' . All this time he'd thought he'd had imaginary friends or vivid nightmares growing up. It turned out he was a magnet fir tbe weird and wonderful, something he'd lost in adulthood and now something that might resurface.
"Turns out my grandpa wanted me to take over the temple.... So that's a thing."
He couldn't help but feel Lisa was peering deep into his being, was it the vampiric nature or just her intensely dark eyes pulled him in. Given the chance he'd happily drown in their depths but this was probably the wrong time for those thoughts.
"Can you imagine that haha?"

spacedadshiroganeâ:
Shiros body gave a subtle shiver as cool fingers traced his neck, the puncture marks a fraction more sensitive as her skin met his. He couldnât help but keen into her touch, still unsure if he was in her thrall or not.
Well⊠that was until Lisaâs voice took on a slightly breathier tone. Words ensnared him as the air felt like there was a slight thickness as all slipped away until only Lisaâs voice remained holding his body in position. He couldnât fight it even had he even wanted to. He could see his body and hear his breathing yet his physical form felt like an illusion while the vampire spoke.
/youâre my favourite./ Lisaâs voice was normal and the soft verbal binding lifted.
âWhat was that?â A rhetorical question, deep down he knew sheâd demonstrated her power. Had it been anyone else heâd have noped right out. As it was Lisa he trusted her not to abuse it⊠Had she wanted to she could have ensnared him like that from the start.
More importantly his mind had felt the quietest it had felt in an age.
She blinked slow at him as she sat back up, moving slow as well. His muscles hadnât tensed or at least not strongly enough to indicate he was about to bolt and she didnât want to startle him with any sudden moves.
It was the first time sheâd intentionally used her power on him. The venom in her teeth and saliva hadnât been intentional, simply a part of feeding. Her voice just now though - that had been on purpose and it had only been a soft fraction of what her voice was capable of, especially on someone she had recently fed on. She left her hands on his chest, keeping them away from his face and throat for the same reason. heâd just seen yet another part of what she was and it was for him to react to, not for her to try to soften with touches or control with them either.
âThat was so you would know what being under my power feels like.â She wanted to stroke his hair back from his forehead but she kept her hands still on his chest instead. âSo you will never wonder if I am influencing you. I would not care for it, if what you felt for me was because of my control. But I never want you to wonder either. What you give me freely is what I crave. I will never take it by force, even softly, from you. And now you will know, whatever you feel, is yours alone.â
spacedadshirogane The vampire had taken on board his boundary, given their differences in power it could easily have been dismissed. Luckily Lisa wasâŠwellâŠ. Lisa. âThank you.â Shiro replied as the last of the prickly feeling left him, he believed her and he was partly grateful she chose not to offer any more demonstrations. Instead sheâd asked into his âpowerâ. By power, what Shiro had were glorified party tricks⊠walking on his hands⊠getting out of being restrained by dislocating a shoulder. That one had become less impressive since losing his right arm. He even knew some basic card tricks . He was just human. Even so he could probably be entertaining at least. âNot sure it would be considered real powerâŠ. but if you can tie me up I can escape.â He smirked, âThough I think youâd enjoy that too much.â
Her eyebrows arched at his offer. They had talked about roleplaying âbanditsâ. Sheâd been only half convinced he was serious at the time. From the look on his face - his smirk was a very potent and dangerous thing - he was serious. Lisa had never roleplayed before - not for pleasure. For survival, yes, but - not for fun. Not with a lover. The idea had one side of her lips started to curve upward, dark eyes starting to sparkle. There was something wonderfully delicious about the idea of him surrendering himself entirely to her in a way that had nothing to do with their positions as dancers in the supernatural and entirely human instead. Perhaps for him being intentionally helpless for her - but also because she wouldnât have to guard herself against using any of her unnatural powers to dominate him. it would simply be ropes and that was the most human binding of all.
Especially if he could, as he claimed, escape them whenever he wanted.
She looked down at him, laying underneath her already and the mischief was obvious in her eyes.
âThatâs the second time youâve offered to let me tie you up, Takashi. I think I wouldnât be the only one enjoying it.â Light she dragged her nails over his chest, fabric catching on them. âI am going to find the appropriate kind of rope.â Leaning down she pressed a kiss to his lips.
âBut thatâs not the way you should appear to your family and I think its almost time for you to talk to them.â Another quick kiss and she dragged herself, intentionally slowly, off of him to stand up.
Shiro remained prone and on his back with that kind of smug satisfaction usually reserved for cats. With pleased eyes he watched her move off him until there was not that intimate weight upon him but just the air between them.
âYeah, they probably wouldnât appreciate it.â The boyish pout made its return as Shiro made himself presentable as if he hadnât just been so very ready to offer himself up.
Halfway through adjusting his hair he froze in place, realisation hit.
âWait⊠you actually had the rope ready to go?â
âLisa!â
There was something incredibly attractive about a tousled Takashi sprawled out on her couch and entirely unrepentant about it. Lisa had grown up in a dangerous world of egos, learning when to appease them and when to puncture them depending on her own rank and potential future changes in that. What she saw in front of her wasnât ego though. It was simply a man comfortable in both is own skin - and in the situation he found himself in. And that was dangerously alluring.
She was thrilled with it.
And then he was realizing she might not have been joking and, despite herself, she couldnât stop the laughter that bubbled up and out of her, a sound that must have coughed dust out of her unused lungs it was so rare.
âI donât usually have to be offered a gift twice,â she told him, eyes laughing as well. âThis is the second time youâve mentioned being tied up.â
She was teasing, mostly. She probably did have rope somewhere in her apartment simply because she collected so much but she wasnât sure it would be the right rope. She certainly didnât want anything that would abraid his skin or cause him discomfort.
The internet was a wonderful invention and she fully intended to make use of it once he was sleeping to do some research - and perhaps order some things for delivery.
In the meantime though, she waved a hand at him, still smiling, as if urging him toward the laptop heâd brought over earlier.
âSpeak with your family, Takashi. I promise to behave while you do.â
"Where's the fun in that?" He made a show of pouting as he started to connect up his laptop, fumbling in his phone to get the WiFi password he'd noted down during his last visit. "Oh? Have I?" Shiro blinked then had the awareness to look a little embarrassed that he hadn't been as slick as he'd thought. Shiro was so meticulous with information usually that he was less so about his wants in front of the vampire. The worst part was that he now knew that her powers had no hand in his slip up.
On the other hand, this wasn't all bad, Lisa was more amused than anything. More so that from the playful little quip she might actually be down for that sort of thing. Shiro tried to hide his expression behind his hand with little success.... the tips of his ears were flushed a little red as he tried to pretend the thought wasn't getting him a little giddy.
Oh yeah...
He still had that call to make, it would be best to try and be the golden child they still thought he was. He could see Ryou roll his eyes in his mind while chiding him saying that nobody believes that charade.
Still, old habits die hard and all that.
"Okay okay." Shiro sat up and straightened his shirt and ran his hand through his hair. Fortunately given it was mostly shorn aside from a bit of length on top, his style was easy to manage and was now looking way more presentable and not like a vampires snack platter

Lisa. âThank you.â Shiro replied as the last of the prickly feeling left him, he believed her and he was partly grateful she chose not to offer any more demonstrations.
They had talked about roleplaying 'banditsâ.
"Yeah, they probably wouldn't appreciate it." The boyish pout made its return as Shiro made himself presentable as if he hadn't just been so very ready to offer himself up.
Halfway through adjusting his hair he froze in place, realisation hit.
"Wait... you actually had the rope ready to go?"
"Lisa!"

Shiro would have been lying if he said he didnât fear that kind of power, knowing exactly how vulnerable he would be and powerless. Given his life experiences he valued his autonomy and having experienced Lisaâs ability he did understandably feel a little ruffled.
Having the vampire feed on him made him feel less like prey than control would, even if it was gentle.
Soft hands caressed his hair causing his body to relax along with promises that she was letting him know whytbis demonstration was done.
He sat there silently, knowing it was now his choice to remain. Clarity was restored. Deciding to respect her honesty he shot her a wry smile.
âI understand but a little warning would be nice.â
Now heâd subtly demonstrated a boundary he cupped her face in his own hands, stroking her cheeks with his thumbs.
âAny other powers you wish to demonstrate while weâre at it?â The playful lilt to his voice returned . âI could show you one of mineâŠ. though its not as impressive,â
There was always the possibility, no matter how devoted he grew, no matter how much time passed, that one day sanity would strike him and he would realize she was unnatural enough to make him want to run.
She was growing to feel that it would rip what passed for her heart right out of her chest if he ever did.
But she also wouldnât ever fault him for it either. He deserved self-preservation.
He processed what she had done though and he didnât bolt. He did make it clear that, from this point on, she needed permission however. She respected that and she felt, strangely, even more accepted. Because he didnât put down boundaries with something you feared, you bargained. Shiro had put down a firm, albeit gentle, line. She didnât remember the last time anyone had dared try to do that to her. It filled her with the strangest feeling of - confidence. In them.
So she smiled as she leaned down into his hands cradling her face and enjoyed the cherishing touch. Shut her eyes briefly to soak it in before opening them again to find the evening of his.
âI will ask permission next time,â she agreed with a smile before her eyes lit up with delight. âOh,â her voice sank into a crone that was entirely female, âYes, I think I would like you to show me yours. Yes, please.â
The vampire had taken on board his boundary, given their differences in power it could easily have been dismissed. Luckily Lisa was...well.... Lisa.

âAre you trying to tell me Iâm not sensible?â Shiro pouted, adding something boyish to his usually strong angular features. It held for several seconds before soft laughter bubbled up. He knew full well he was currently making some very reckless life choices that I his eyes were high risk, high reward.
Lisa was an apex predator but also possessed of a gentleness that made him willingly let himself be vulnerable. Was it her genuine nature or dome vampirism pheromone that was altering his brain chemistry.
Not that ir mattered. Had it been the latter his grandmothers charm would have protected him from such things. These were definitely his thoughts even if he was spitting in the face of rationality, and he was revelling in it.
âOkay maybe Iâm not completely sensible⊠but youâre definitely into that. We wouldnât be here if that wasnât the case.â The smile widened as he tilted his chin up smugly, elongation his neck where the pale scarring from Lisaâs bite could be seen.
âAnd reckless idiot is your favourite flavor.â
He didnât laugh as often as someone like him should and she treasured the quiet sound of it now as he gave it to her. He was feeling better, recovering as he continued from shock of the new world heâd found himself in. Getting him out, surrounding him with humanity, even if only for a little while, had been the right decision, helping him find his anchor again. She knew he wasnât fully solid on his feet yet but he was closer and she would guard over him until he was.
She would guard over him afterward as well. He was too precious to risk. If he left her tomorrow, she suspected she would spend the rest of his life guarding over him from the shadows.Â
For now, he was with her however, and content and pleased to be from all appearances. His smile and his laughter, his flirting and his teasing told her he was comfortable. It was a gift - to loom over a man and have him pleased about it instead of threatened.
She gave him her own little shocked look and faked pout as he teased that she was into reckless idiots.
It wasnât as if he was wrong in this very specific case.
Very light she ran her fingernail down that elongated throat he flashed at her. Even still feeling satiated and fully fed, he was a temptation. The sensation of his blood in her mouth, down through her own veins, the heady nature, the awakening feeling of it was like a drug and it tugged at her even filled already as she was. She let her nail tease lightly over the vein, and the healing scar on his tanned skin but she kept her mouth to herself.
âIf youâre expecting me to protest that youâre not reckless, I am going to disappoint you. But if youâre fishing to hear that youâre my favorite - â she lowered her head, so that her eyes would be all he could see in the shadows of her dark hair. âTakashi,â she crooned his name, weaving her vampire seduction into a sirens call for him, folding her power around him like velvet moth wings so that he would know what it really felt like, singing to the blood in his veins that belonged to her. âIn all my dead years, there is no one I have ever favored more than I favor you.â
Shiros body gave a subtle shiver as cool fingers traced his neck, the puncture marks a fraction more sensitive as her skin met his. He couldn't help but keen into her touch, still unsure if he was in her thrall or not.

Shiro could think of other things that she found delicious about him, his blood being g the main thing. He SHOULD be freaked out about that, but he felt an odd pride in that. Was he he thrall? If so he was very okay with such a notion. On se ons thought if he was a thrall then heâd not even be thinking about itâŠ.. That was comforting, knowing that flirting with essentially an apex predator was all his choice and his alone.
He allowed himself to be guided back into the kiss, the vampires mouth had an oddly sweet taste, and the fangs themselves were prominent but not so different as tp make the kiss impossible or unpleasant .
He was feeling a little fatigued from his not having as much blood in his body as was normal. With a soft grunt and without breaking the kiss, he positioned himself beneath her so she lay on his front. His own body reclined in the plush cushions while his hands lazily draped at the small of her back
He moved them both and she enjoyed the slow roll of his body against hers, of the strength in the way he held her and the gentleness in the way he moved her. He had so many double coins sides to him, strong and gentle, vulnerable and determined, unsure and sincere. It appealed to her even more than his physical body and his blood, both of which she was deeply enchanted by did. He was her mystery and one that she never expected to fully solve. Layers and layers of depth to him and quiet folds, an origami flower that folded and then folded again until the folds were as lovely as the flower. Her hungry mind was delighted, as if sheâd been given a four line poem that grew deeper with more meanings the longer you sat quietly and thought about it. She had felt that way about him when they had only been friends and becoming -
well, not his lover but whatever this was now - it only brought out even more whispers into the soul of him. She kissed him until she felt his inhale against her lips and then she drew back just enough so that she could see him, head on the pillow of her couch, hair messy from her fingers, lips dark with her kisses. He was so handsome with his fog colored eyes, hazy with what kissing her did to him. She snuck a quick glance at the nearby clock and thought that it was almost time for him to call his grandparents or his brother and that she shouldnât tell him how he looked so that he wouldnât fix himself and theyâd see him the way she had made him. Slow she slipped a leg on either side of his hip and sat up just enough to rest her hands on his chest. her hair fell around both of them when she looked down at him. She was tempted to move her hips. Tempted, for the first time in her dead life, to see if she still had enough false humanity left of her that she could draw a man to attention.
But if she liked the idea of him greeting his relatives messy from her affection, it seemed cruel to make him do that while teased. So she kept still over him even if her dark eyes glittered in the shadows of her hair.
âYou keep finding more ways to make me addicted to you, Takashi. I must have changed somewhere along the way because I used to pride myself in liking sensible men.â
"Are you trying to tell me I'm not sensible?" Shiro pouted, adding something boyish to his usually strong angular features. It held for several seconds before soft laughter bubbled up. Shiro was caught up I a whirlwind of sensations. Despite the fatigue that came with having his blood drained, his senses seemed sharper and the kiss, leaving him feeling like he was conducting some kind of charge. Could also have come from the realisation that he knew he was playing with fire.
He knew Lisa could end him. A powerful immortal juxtaposed with his flimsier than most human life. He should be waryâŠ. afraid but something about that had him feeling more alive than ever. It helped that the vampire was at her core someone he could trust.
â I dunno, I think a few centuries of poetry might top my 25 years of knowing how to talk.â
She smiled at his words, crooned a soft sound and opened her eyes just enough to see him, shadow blur he was still so close. His blood through her veins gave her life and brought all of her senses back to her. Gave her the subtle scent of him, the warmth and pressure of him, the softness of his breath against her. The taste of him on her mouth. It was like discovering living senses all over again, heady and a little drowning.Â
She never wanted to let him go.
That - was going to be a problem.
One day. Not today though. She wound her arms a little bit more around him, rubbed the tip of her nose to his.
âFlattery
like your lips
tastes delicious against my tongue.â
And then she slipped her fingers into his hair to gently tug him down for another kiss.

Relief flooded him as the impulsive action was met with a positive, if not joyful, response. Lisa seemed to be almost surprised yet delighted in her realisation.
âThatâs good. It would such to hear Iâd lost my touch.â He grinned. âNot to brah, but Iâve been told Iâm a great kisser.â
His expression softened as Lisa mentioned her fangs. No doubt she was maybe a little self conscious of them even if there was no need to worry so much.
âAnd to answer your questionâŠ. Not at all, its not like youâre a shark l. They are perfectly sized. Big enough to make a meal out of me but small and cute enough to not hinder kissing. 10/10 dentists would admire.â
Her eyebrows went up when he referred to her fangs as âcuteâ. âCuteâ was not a word sheâd ever had applied to her but absolutely not the teeth she used to puncture throats and drain blood with. Granted, he was looking at the retracted version of them when he looked at her. They only extended when she was far too close to his throat for him to see but even then -
âcuteâ, he said.
She had the inane urge to giggle bubble up inside her, tickling her lungs and chest.Â
âCuteâ.Â
Only Shiro.
She made a sound, part in her throat, part in her chest, thrumming somewhere between laughter and pleased purr. He was so sweet, reassuring her - and so clever with the word play and joking he made of it. It was dorky - and funny all the same and she loved it.Â
She felt human. or at least not like a monster. Alive.
âIâve never been cute,â she informed him and it wasnât a protest against the word. âOr to a dentist. I will have to take your word for both of them.â The laughter was dancing in her dark eyes and the edges of her lips. How did he make her feel so buoyant? He was amazing and she cupped his face with her palm, tipping her head.
âI need more proof of the Great Kissing Ability though. The last sample was too short to be sure. I intend to become a great scholar in this matter. I require much subject matter for study.â Light, she nipped at his lower lip. âWill you help me study, please? Iâm a very diligent student.â
With that final nudge Lisa was back and already flirting back. One skill of Shiros was that he was at his core, a big dork. Most people saw a man thar excelled at most things he tried his hands at but those close knew better. Ryou often joked that Shiro only really got away with being downright cheesy because he was âprettyâ - Naturally, since the brothers were identical the pretty face extended to the younger twin. Thus Ryou got to stroke his own ego in the process. Shiro was dorky and Ryou was a bit rough around the edges.
Before contemplating the ramifications of the vampire meeting his brother, sheâd already started inching towards him, seemingly wanting more where that kiss had come from. Who was he to deny the request.
âAs youâre something of a scientist,I better help with the sample size.â
Shiros voice dropped low, to almost a purr as he leaned in.
âFor science.â
His lips were now upon the vampires, one large hand over the smaller, paler one.
He already has a lovely voice, rich and deep and a little on the throaty side. Clean as river water. She enjoyed listening to it. But when he dropped it, when he purred with it -
she thought it was poetry that lived in the darker corners of blood rich veins and circled, content and hungry, in the dark circles of the brain. She wanted to feel that purr and she wanted to slip vulnerable for it and she didnât know that something like her could ever be vulnerable - but the velvet desire to be was there for his voice and the dark eyes that accompanied it.
Then he kissed her again and there was nothing short about it. He kissed her and she forgot everything sheâd been thinking before it. There was only his lips against hers and the snaking warmth it wrapped around her heart and the heat it curled around her stomach. The hand he wasnât holding shifted so that she could wrap that arm around him and she leaned her body, gently tugging him down so that she could feel the couch against her back and his body over hers. Because his weight felt good over her and she felt safe and that was foolish because creatures like her didnât know what safe felt like anymore. But she did. He was warm and alive and he kissed her as if they had all the time in the world. Kissing hadnât been a part of the courtly romances sheâd known before and she was new to this.Â
She learned though. She learned because he let her explore, teased and led and indulged her. She found there was dozens of ways to kiss and be kissed. It was like slipping whispers without the need for air, or sound, intimacies passed back and forth, small starts for breath he needed and she didnât but found herself pulling in anyway before the nudge, a smile, a soft sound and then lips brushing lips again. It was - she thought - like falling in love. So soft and deeper and deeper before you realized it, sinking together through layers of silk until she could have shared his heartbeat with him if sheâd had one of her own to share.Â
She liked, she decided, kissing him. Very much.
When they paused, time lost, foreheads resting against each others, she left her eyes closed so she could hear him better and murmured low:
âIf I could learn to speak the way you kiss, no one would match my poetry.â
Shiro was caught up I a whirlwind of sensations. Despite the fatigue that came with having his blood drained, his senses seemed sharper and the kiss, leaving him feeling like he was conducting some kind of charge. Could also have come from the realisation that he knew he was playing with fire.
