The Artemis II crew naming two previously undiscovered lunar craters (one after Commander Reid Wiseman's late wife).

Some more photos recently downlinked from the Artemis II crew. The Moon, including the edge of the far side, as viewed on approach. 2026: Artemis II CDR Reid Wiseman names a crater after his wife Carroll

The crew of Artemis II were greeted this morning with a message from the late Apollo astronaut Jim Lovell, who flew aboard Apollo 8, the first mission to the Moon, and was the commander of Apollo 13, flying around the Moon in a free-return trajectory in a similar path to that followed by Artemis II. Though Lovell passed away last year, his spirit lives on in the heart of the Artemis program as we follow in his incredible footsteps.

I still think the app is bad but I at least figured out how to use it.

After a successful trans-lunar injection burn, Artemis II is officially on its way to the moon!
