all you can do is stare at the back of the headrest in front of you,

you wonder why it is that your eyes are glued

like the paper mache mask you made in sixth grade,

but it’s not to look through or away,

you simply just cant face the pain that has entered the seat next to you.

fully grown and strong and ready to face the world.

then why is it with every breath you take the more you tremble?

the more your hands shake and the faster your heart beats,

the deeper the breath the deeper fear

the more tears begin to fall only to be felt on your skin and never shown.
