hi, im a fan of the spinoff series hiveswap and this is my outlook on hiveswap act 3 preview 😇
In the ending where the drone pretty much zaps everyone, the scene mainly focuses on three characters: Lonner, Darien and Adelie. Lonner is an ill little boy sent by the Troll MakeAWish program to Jeevik Island as his dying wish; However, it doesn't seem like Cridea really remembers at all. While she expresses feeling empathic for making him do her bidding and even has an option to push him in a pool knowing he's ill, she always gave off this artificial niceness whenever she talks to him. Meanwhile, Adelie is a really close friend of Cridea, basically hatchmates for 7 Sweeps. Cridea is willing to match her with anyone as soon as possible after hearing that her matesprit was culled (plus bucketing week is in 2 days) and would even give up her own secret matesprit for Adelie, so that Cridea could help her with her bucketing week. While it may not be perfect in execution, there was an attempt. And then there's Darien, who's just kind of in the middle in terms of the respective order. He's in between trolls that Cridea doesn't really care to someone she does. Furthermore, when given the options after Luxora advised her to break things off with Darien, the player is presented with 3 options: be as cruel as possible (don't care), let him off easily and stay with him (care). It's just like how that ending showed 3 trolls with varying degree of compassion from Cridea.
In the ending where the player outs Darien as the traitor, there are very interesting lines to dissect. "C-Cridea? But I didn't... How could you?", it's a much softer tone compared to "How dare you?" and it places a heavy emphasis on Cridea. Not in her actions, but in her specifically. "No... No. You know I would never do anything to hurt you", while it may sound like he's in denial as the supposed traitor, there's another way to infer it as: Darien reassuring her, specifically towards her claims that he has always been jealous of her and that he had plans to get revenge on her. Then reassuring her again that he'd never hurt her intentionally.
In the ending where the player has bad clout and is sentenced to death by the Heiress, Darien is the only one pleading Trizza to spare some mercy on her. "Cridea! Trizza, no, please...!", the first thing he says is her name, meaning she and her livelihood is literally his top priority as of that moment.
Luxora, Amargo, Kalian and Darien are the only ones to be shown as not being afraid of the Heiress unlike the other violets. Adelie is unsettled by her sudden appearance. Jerann wouldn't dare say anything bad about her. Yet interestingly, only Luxora and Darien questions what Trizza is even saying and Kalian straight up tries to threaten her before getting cut off. These three are or were in Cridea's quadrant and they don't show any slightest fear towards the Heiress, which is a stark contrast when compared to Actias – her secret matesprit. (then again, he's a jade blood, while they're violet bloods)
Luxora potentially harbors ashen feelings for Cridea, something Cridea even pointed out herself. "Where is this even coming from? You never had any #drama with Darien" "Ouf course nout. That's the whoule proublem, darling!", she felt the need to intervene when noticing the lack of mutual hatred and even more so when seeing her matesprit seems to have little to no issue to it AFTER they've broken up. While Luxora did notice signs when they were still dating and chose to not talk about it as she thought it wasn't her place to do so, this interestingly mirrors Darien's sentiment on Cridea's relationship with Kalian. (I'm using external sources here lol)
"Kalian, what do I do? Luxora told me that Darien isn't the best #kismesis for me... and I'm scared she's #right", this is such an interesting line, especially coming from Cridea. There's been several occasions where she is frustrated with him (and not in the way most trolls in the pitch quadrant would be with each other) along with Kalian actively encouraging her to dump him, so why is it now that's she's afraid of Luxora being right. Is she really that disgusted by the idea of proving Luxora right or does she still care about Darien but acknowledges her point that he isn't doing her any justice in the black department. This also supports my claim about how Luxora is possibly ashen for Cridea. (I mean if her ex-matesprit's words has that much of an effect on Cridea to the point she questions her own quadrantship with Darien, then...)
Kalian mentions Darien having a "wild side" – "his radical antimilitarist ideology". This could be inferred as Darien having a totally different personality in the past. This is mostly and weakly supported by the fact that most violets that hold any type of ideology are just assholes in their own ways. (e.g Luxora, Kalian...)
When Cridea opens the conversation again with Darien after being advised by Luxora, she mentions that she's "not feeling #TheSpark anymore" which could possibly suggest that they did start the quadrantship with genuine hatred towards one another before something happened. (then again, it could be just Cridea saying it to not make him feel bad)
"shkshskhshshsshh DARIENNNNNNN ur new drip is LITTY!!!!! werrrrrkkk bInCh", this line could be inferred as Darien not always dressing the way he does currently.
Darien's quirk is surrounded by ✧･ﾟ:*sparkly flourishes.*:･ﾟ✧ and they just so happen to be in a similar shape to diamonds. And diamonds are typically associated with the pale quadrant on Alternia. (what am I trying to prove? who's to say...) (I'm trying to insinuate that Darien's quirk somehow centers around Cridea...)
