Self Care

⚠︎ Journal - Journaling can help you keep track of how much you've improved as a person, something the Spawn is always eager to see. If you struggle to journal like me, try keeping track of self-improvement manifestations! That way it's fun, easy, and something that you'll be able to look back on to see your progress.

⚠︎ Reset Your Sleep Schedule - Taking the time to slowly rework your sleep schedule can help you improve your mental and physical health, as well as aiding you in feeling more rested when you wake up! This way, the Spawn can see the fruit of your efforts as well as seeing you refresh your mind and body in a healthy way.

Social

⚠︎ Cut Ties - Assess your relationships in your life and think of the people that have been impairing your ability to grow and improve. If these relationships are one-sided or beneficial to nobody, then consider holding a deciding conversation addressing such issues and evaluate whether or not the relationship is worth it when you finish. Remember to maintain a healthy social circle and support system, as the Spawn wants to see you surrounded by people who help you to be a better person!

⚠︎ Avoid Self Isolation - If you're anything like me, you may tend to self isolate in fear of vulnerability, being perceived, being abandoned, or something entirely different. However, self isolation can lead to stagnation in your growth as a person. While temporary periods of stagnation are normal and healthy, it's best to foster long-term improvement through learning from those around you! The Spawn wants to see you overcome your fears, so reach out to those you love!

Self Improvement

⚠︎ Overcome An Insecurity - This one definitely takes a lot of time, but it's absolutely worth it! The Spawn will always be pleased with you coming to terms with something about yourself and loving yourself through it because it's a part of this life that makes you who you are, and you're still loveable even if you're insecure about it. Take some time every day to journal about it, to say affirmations about it, to seek reassurance from others about it, or to publicly do something to represent your pride about it!

⚠︎ Self Control Over Bad Habits - We all have bad habits that we indulge in, either consistently or from time to time. The best thing you can do is refuse to give in to those unhealthy behaviors, actions, or thoughts through a plethora of coping mechanism! Try researching DBT skills that can help you avoid engaging in your unwanted habits. The Spawn will always love to see you overcome such struggles!

Spiritual

⚠︎ Pray Consistently - Try to set up a regular schedule of when to pray. This can be every morning or night, once a week, before and after each meal or act of self care, or anything else you can think of! As long as it keeps you feeling healthily engaged in your spiritual relationship to the Spawn, that's all that matters.

⚠︎ Build An Altar - An altar can be a great space to build up offerings, perform rituals, say prayers, or just sit in peace and silence with the presence of the Spawn! They are completely option, but if you feel like making one, the Spawn will certainly appreciate it. An altar can be small-- like in a little box, wallet, or even sketchbook-- or as large as you'd like-- like on a bookshelf, in a drawer, on a dresser, or spread across your entire room if you're really feeling it. While you gradually build upon it over time, make sure to enjoy it!

Self Care

⚠︎ Shower/Bathe - Taking a shower or bath while setting the intention of refreshing your body, renewing your soul, and resetting your mental state is something the Spawn always love to see. Give yourself the chance to take a break and "respawn."

⚠︎ Meditate - Set a timer for 5 minutes and meditate. Don't know how to meditate effectively? Here's a quick tutorial! Sit up and close your eyes. Then, focus on your breathing. Your mind will wander to a bunch of different topics, but every time it does, remind yourself to focus on your breathing again! Every time you do this, you're teaching yourself tons of skills like managing your attention, grounding your mind and body, and more. Meditation isn't about thinking of nothing, it's about recentering your focus every time you lose it. The Spawn will be very pleased!

Social

⚠︎ Text Someone - Send some of your favorite people a text telling them everything you love about them as a person! The Spawn loves to watch you honor life, so what better way to do so than taking a couple of minutes to tell someone that their life means something to you?

Self Improvement

⚠︎ Affirmations - Take something that you're insecure about and robotically affirm it to be something that still makes you worthy of love! Whether it's a certain aspect of your body, your personality, or your interests, the Spawn wants to see you radically accept it and love yourself through it. Even if it doesn't feel real, that's okay, it's all part of a process. As long as you say/think it, it'll be true, whether you believe it or not.

⚠︎ Un-Procrastinate - You heard me. Take that thing you've been refusing to do and dive head first! The Spawn wants to see you grow and change, so what better way to do it than to dive into a struggle that will leave you stronger afterwards!

Spiritual

⚠︎ Pray - Take some time to pray right now! I personally follow this prayer structure: Invocation (addressing the being you are praying to), Praise/Gratitude (saying everything you're grateful to the being for), Repentance (admitting to faults, negative behaviors, bad habits, etc., anything that weighs you down), Requests (asking for guidance, help with a specific issue, etc.), and Conclusion (finishing with a thank you and, as I typically say as an alternative to amen: "Ave" [Ah-vay]). You can also look up posts of others' prayers and use those as inspiration!

⚠︎ Offer - If it's part of your beliefs that the Spawn is pleased by offerings because of their intention, energy, effort, or any other reasons, then give a small offering! This can be a cool rock, a feather, a flower, a trinket, a quick drawing, or anything that you feel appropriate.
