Pope Francis continues to get on the right side of history (and rattle the cages of America’s ‘religious right’). The European Parliament as well as the UK, Republic of Ireland, Spain and France have all previously passed motions in favor of recognizing the State of Palestine against the wishes of the USA and Israel. Now the Vatican has announced it too recognizes a Palestinian state. USA/Israel continue to mutter darkly but they’re becoming increasingly isolated .. (story here)
