The bluest blue the universe has ever known - and just at the right moment. Cursing under her breath, River Song dashed across the courtyard of the small Egyptian city, glancing behind her every so often to make sure she wasnât being followed. There were people everywhere, going about their business left and right, but not a single person seemed really to see the solid blue box that was sitting at the corner of the courtyard - perhaps there was just something about being a time traveler that made these things obvious to River.Â
Either way, as the Time Lady made her way up to the doors of the box, she slid out a key, hurriedly unlocking the door and slipping inside. She had seen the Doctor and Amy slip out of the TARDIS not five minutes before - no doubt on their way to some sort of an adventure, but River needed the lovely time machine for her own doings. Besides - the Doctor never seemed to notice. This wasnât the first time she would use the TARDIS as a way to run from the scene of the crime, and it was highly unlikely that it was ever going to be the last.
There was a series of shouts and running from the courtyard, but River was having none of it, and swiftly shut the door of the TARDIS, tossing her bag onto the console and instinctively powering her up in order to take off. Stabilizers on - Temporal shield lever, up - aaaaand take off. Gorgeous. It didnât really matter where she went, as long as she was out of that city and some place where she could go through her bag of spoils.Â
âOhhhh this is going to get me plenty of credits with the Salutarian Institute,â She muttered to herself when she was sure the TARDIS was stable in the time vortex.
Rory had taken one bloody nap and woken up alone. The Doctor and Amy had run off on some adventure and left him behind. Again. Disappointed but not surprised, Rory sullenly made his way to the TARDIS kitchen to fix himself a pot of tea. He opened the cupboards to try and search through the, literal, thousands of tea flavors that the Doctor stocked in there. Heâd just settled on Butterscotch Delight and began pouring the water when a sudden jolt caused him to drop the pot. âOh no. No way,â Rory said through a sudden glare. âNo bloody way do they get to just come back and ignore me, again, to leave this planet before I even get to see it.â
He decidedly and properly set his face to resemble the grumpiness he felt while storming out of the kitchen. âDoctor! Amy! Itâs-itâs one thing to just leave me behind,â Rory started, swinging his arms in the air to gesture his point, âbut itâs another thing entirely to up and leave without even telling me whatâs going on. Weâre in trouble, arenât we? Thatâs why weâre leaving so quickly.â
Roryâs little rampage toned down as he turned a corner and walked into the console room. âSo, what in the hell have you done this time, Doc....River!?â He froze in his tracks and stared at his...daughter, River. Confusion quickly bloomed on Roryâs face. âRiver? Youâre stealing the TARDIS? Youâve stolen the TARDIS. Oh, youâre definitely Amyâs daughter. What did you do?â
