His alt mode is a pogo stick and he's a Cube referee and technician. He programs Cube AI, which leads to his role with the autobots programming drones. He's a real jack of all trades master of none, alright at Cube but could never play in the league, tech guy but nowhere near a genius, good coach but not a leader, he just tries hard to be useful

Merformers Minimus immediately had me thinking how the Magnus armor would work and the only answer was whale fall loot

Not a whale though, Ultra Magnus is/was a thresher shark, Minimus is actually just wearing a corpse now. Least it'll scare off the big fish
