well now im fucking researching k-stars and luminosity and astronomical units because i am building an entire solar system from scratch.

I... know very, very little about astronomical design! What can I say, it's not my field. So, uhh, rather than trying to grasp at straws and give you weak answers that won't help you or anyone at all, I'll try and direct you to some sources I do recall finding quite useful in the past on this sorta subject!

First of all, the YT Channel Artifexian does some excellent Conlang and Geog. / Carto. stuff for Worldbuilders, and has some excellent 'Space' related Videos. I mostly watch his planet-building content, which might interest you for that side of things, but for space-related stuff he seems to be just as useful.

Secondly, anything on the Worldbuilding Stack Exchange. From experience, I can tell you that if something you'd like to ask isn't there, with a free account you can ask about it yourself. If you're not comfortable with that, I'm happy to use mine as a surrogate!

Again, lacking as I do such experience on this subject, I'm not immediately familar with a great many more Worldbuilding-focused resources on it. I imagine there may be other sources online you can access, and I wish you good luck on your Worldbuilding journey!

I'm keeping my max. History to 3 centuries, so colour me impressed! My worldbuilding's kept more to military / variously political stuff normally, so I could be more helpful with that! I've actually got an Advice blog on that first topic, though it'll be a good while before I get the time to do anything with it.
