personally, I saw lestats warning before turning Claudia as projecting how he feels after turning louis. I don’t know how people watch Louis beg and hate him for it, yet sympathize with lestat for the same loneliness and longing that he took out on claudia , and also somehow believe lestat was the better parent ?? I like to think louis proved lestats warning wrong - louis loved her enough to change for her, instead of resenting her unhappiness. obviously he wasn’t perfect but I would comfortably say they had a good relationship because Louis wanted to be better. Comparatively, lestat always felt helpless because he forfeited his own agency and capacity to reflect to his ego

I don’t think Lestat meant Claudias life would literally be agony due to vampire biology or something because 1. Why would that be 2. Claudia DID find profound love and acceptance and happiness.

Fandom analysis is so focused on singular characters that it totally ignores NARRATIVE CONSTRUCTION and the concept of IMPLICATIONS ?? Half of these theories are just going “I hope they reveal it was all a dream!!!!!” If they were to reveal Louis was an unreliable liar the whole time, it’s objectively bad writing. Not resolving commentary on race or domestic violence is bad writing. Spending all of season 2 building up the depth of Armand’s lies then being like “oh well hes a sweetie anyway who cares” is bad writing.
