Norwalk Arturo Sanchez Sr. Halloween Parade Aftermath

Holy guacamole, everyone. This was possibly the most fun show I've done in my short musical "career." There was a turn-out of over a thousand people, a chance for me to perform several new songs in a new 8 song set, and really get my voice out there. I want to thank Jim, the driver of the convertible I was so generously offered to sit in. Also a big thank you to Christine and Jennifer Geasey for doing all of my event photography. There will be more pictures up soon!

"Soundcloud NEXT" beta opportunity

That's right. I've hopped on the Twitter band wagon. But no fear, there is no Twitter spam from this youngster. I almost exclusively tweet when musical/sound making things are happening. Brooklyn LIVE @ Arturo Sanchez Sr. Halloween Parade

What an incredible day and my far my best performance. I played a 7 song total set for an audience of well over one thousand smiles.

I will be playing LIVE at the Arturo Sanchez Halloween Parade in Norwalk, California.

This is a crazy-fun event with parade floats, bands, and food! Come join the festivities and support your local community! And of course... Me!!

Featherstone - The Paper Kites | Cover (10.01-07.12)

A cover I been working on for about a week now. It's not exactly what I'd hoped but I still have mad love for it and for this song. The lyrics are probably some of the sweetest.

It was really interesting trying to harmonize with my own voice/move up an octave/not sound like shit. There's a little bit of drums in here- which I'm also not used to. A lot of firsts for practice!

I will probably do a second version of this closer to the original version. :)

5 Years Time - Noah and the Whale | WIP Complete Cover (06.28.2012)

I finally got up the balls to post this. It's not done, but it's close to it. I'd love to swap out the vocals because they're flatter than my chest. Also, to edit out background noise. But here we have a nearly complete cover of Noah and the Whale's song, "5 Years Time."

Funny story behind why I even did a cover of this song. My last relationship ended on this song. This song played in the background of her room, on loop, while we both cried over the close of this chapter in our lives. She and I have only spoken once or twice since then, both times ended sour. She's an amazing person, and whether or not we ever have another interaction, good or bad- I want her to know that wherever she goes, I hope there will be love to follow her. She deserves it.

In 5 years time- we may not speak. So hear me out now?

There are not words to describe how deeply this song touches me. My voice wobbles a tad in the recording because I choking back tears. (Hence some of the mic static from my breathing.) I was lucky enough for the air conditioner in my garage to turn off just long enough for me to sing this.

I've been meaning to learn a cover of this song for the longest time- but it slipped my mind until I saw an ad with this song in it. Reignited my love/cries.

No editing, just plugged into my Loudbox in my garage.

Ho Hey - The Lumineers | Cover (08.15-29.2012)

Been working on this for SO long. The strum pattern for the ukulele is so far out of the realm of what I normally do- I had to do separate layers of my singing and the uke (which I don’t usually like to do.) But I ended up making something pretty keen to listen to, I think! My voice is shot for whatever reason (recorded it today [08.29.2012]) but the layers really hide how shitty things got haha.

I love this song, I don’t care if it was on an iPhone commercial or whatever, I love this song into the ground.
