Come one come all to SoulxMaka Week 2018! Yes, that’s right, it’s that time of the year again. We are pleased to announce that we are accepting theme suggestions! Feel free to send as many as you’d like via submission, ask box, or fanmail starting today, February 12th! 

Same rules apply:

No idea is too crazy - go ahead and send us your themes, even if it’s just one or five or fifteen. The deadline for themes is February 25th! Prompts should be open-ended and preferably not too specific. To keep the content fresh, we ask that you do not send in similar themes to the ones used during previous years. Hello everyone, we are back at it again with another MaStar Week!

Last year was so great and enjoyable that we just had to do more. Massive thanks to everyone who participated in 2017 and during the 2018 voting process! You know the deal, you know the jargon; let’s just get into it.

We’ll be using the tags: “mastar week 2018″ and “makaxblackstar week 2018″ to follow this event. It’s strongly recommended that you tag this blog just in case of a lost post– we aren’t taking any risks here this year, or next year.

After a week of voting, we now have the final theme list for Soul Eater Polyam Week 2018! The themes are as follows:

In preparation for the week, here’s a recap of  the rules! Our rules for what submissions we’ll accept are as follows:

-It goes without saying, but all submissions must be relating to a polyam ship, meaning the relationship must include more than two people. Any monogamous ships won’t be reblogged here.

-Submissions also must relate to the characters of Soul Eater or Soul Eater Not!

-That being said, we will accept any polyam ship involving the Soul Eater characters! So long as it doesn’t violate the below rules, you can make content for whatever polyam ship you want on whatever day you want. There is also no upper limit on the amount of characters that can be involved, if you want to make art of all the kids in a relationship, or all the adults in a relationship, we won’t stop you!

-Any art form will be accepted! Feel free to submit fics, headcanons, videos, music, traditional art, digital art, moodboards, playlists, or cosplay! If you have an art form not listed here, be sure to send us an ask and we’ll let you know!

-Drawn or written NSFW submissions will be accepted! But they must be tagged appropriately using the tag #nsfw-se-polyamweek18

-PLEASE do not use the general tags #sepolyamweek2018 or #se-polyam-week-2018 when tagging nsfw submissions. Certain mods are handling nsfw content and we want to make it easy for people to avoid nsfw if they prefer

-We will NOT be accepting any submissions that feature any adult/minor or incestuous content

-We will NOT be accepting any content containing abusive themes. That includes implications of cheating or infidelity. This is a week for healthy and happy polyamory!!!

-You are not required to follow the daily themes! Anything put in the tag that follows these rules will be accepted and reblogged! The themes are just to help inspire people who may want inspiration for a given day, we’ll take any polyam stuff you send our way!

Making it fandom debut, Soul Eater Polyam Week is dedicated to sharing your love for your OT3’s, OT4’s, and maybe even OT-more’s! The goal of Poly Week is to spread attention to all the incredible polyships in the Soul Eater Fandom and help to encourage content creation!

The week itself takes place during the week of Monday, March 19th through Sunday, March 25th, however, voting for themes begins today, February 11th, and will continue through Saturday, February 17th. The themes will be announced on Monday, February 19th!

Hello to everyone reading this!

I will be attaching some links below! Disclaimer: - This is not taken from the original score or anything from Soul Eater. This is purely my own style. I took the artistic decision this time to only be influenced by character actions and traits instead of score from the original source - The mp3 files are made by the program I use called Sibelius. It will not be good in terms of sound quality, but I hope that one day someone can play this or something. - There is also a score attached, so if you’d like to play it, feel free to! Just say beforehand, and make sure to reblog, so more people can hopefully enjoy the post!

I know there are probably very few of you, but I thought I would share some more music with you all! I’m just going to say that Soul Eater is such a unique and wonderful show. It has one of my favourite ships. I just find Soul and Maka great characters, and when two wonderful characters get together (canon or not), it’s amazing. I highly recommend watching the anime and/or reading the manga (although I don’t read manga since I don’t have access to it).

Sorry for the bad quality of the audio. I promise you, most violinists do not sound like screech planks and most cellos aren’t kazoos on steroids. It is purely Sibelius you can thank for that, but I do include a piano version, but it doesn’t include the pizzicato quirks that I like in the string version. 

This is going to be a detailed description of the song, so if you choose not to read this, that’s fine. It is just a little composer’s note, that’s all.

To me, Soul and Maka are sweet, cool, and badass, so I really wanted to convey that in this song with what I wanted to be epic and energetic. There are some sweet twists on the original musical motives and phrases that you can see laid out. The quirkiness is sort of spread throughout because the whole show of Soul Eater is just awesome because it’s different from all other anime. Besides that, I think I want to leave the rest up to interpretation because I trust the musicians, artists, listeners, and people of today to make their own opinions on what I do.

Notes: Hi~ And here is a story!! I wasn’t sure what to write, but welp… I really love it though!!

Propmt: Gloves 

In which I obviously can’t draw, but the week was worth it, lol. Also, sorry if this is early, but time differences are sad sometimes (I’m so used to people responding at 3am, and at this point I just don’t have a normal sleep schedule anymore).

Hiya, I’m Ryo and Soul Eater was probably the first anime I ever watched. Which is why I didn’t have any ships at that time. Of course, I found Soma very cute (still is), but can you imagine how I felt after all the years seeing something from SE, and suddenly thinking, “Hey, Death the Kid and Maka make a damn adorable pair.”

And then there is this week focusing on that pair. I had to do something.

And I hope to do more, after all, I plan to stay in the fandom and post random drawings, and mostly writings.

This is an AU, where those two are normal kiddos, and Kid doesn’t have enough hair dye, and Maka knows how to fight with a shovel. Also, Kid hids a lot of knives, so be careful.
