vampyder ✶ spider-verse reality. all the bits & bobs of being a spider-bitten vigilante.

who is vampyder?

— your not-so-friendly neighbourhood spider-woman. vigilante of new york. new york’s fiercest. biter². vampire-spider. or spider-vampire. the same, really.

characteristics & abilities

— fangs, obviously. i don’t need to feed solely on human blood, but i get hunger pangs every few days. they get stronger after particularly tiring patrols.

— venom i can eject from said fangs. it wears off after a few hours, feels like a bee sting.

— tapetum lucidum. the glow in my eyes, like in animals, that reflect the light & improve vision in the dark.

— superspeed & heightened reflexes. blink of an eye, as seen in various vampire media. (ethan has brought up twilight …)

— superhuman senses. you already know the gist.

suit details

— mask. it only covers the bottom half of my face, since i need the top half unobstructed due to already having night vision. plus, it’s scarier when you see glowing eyes, no?

— mechanical web-shooter. i did get ethan’s help with manufacturing these, since he majors in electrical engineering. keeps fussing about them & upgrading my suit as often as he can.

— talons. i must always have talons, just in case. helps me get out of tight situations.

it’s giving very jazzy cafe/bar ( unless I sneaked my tracks into max’s playlist ; spoiler—i have ) , sprinkles of y2k here and there with a dash of yearning
