Quadrobics tip!!!
Instead of keeping your body parallel with the ground while running, pushing up with your back legs (while keeping hands off the ground) and landing on your hands like a mini jump goes a long way.
Animals do this as well, if you slow down videos of them running. So i decided to try this and it actually helps me stop faster and not trip over my arms.
Hope this helps! :3
You know. I'm glad I stay out of community discourse at this point slkngslkn so much of it makes me feel. Alienated in my experience. Like. So many creatures out there talk about how them being a therian or just non human in general is this awful experience for them and that they're experience is almost never happy and they subscribe to the idea that to be a therian or to be non human is to be unhappy and miserable all the time ( and as someone who's also trans and not perisex this just reeks of transmed talking points but I'm not the first to point that out) it just makes me feel like I'm just a fraud.
It saddens me how I have such a... loving and happy relationship to my caninehood and I look at a community who is hurting, for understandable reasons, but takes that hurt and attack people for not fitting into the mold they think it should be. I watch as a non spiritual therian who doesn't quite know where their doghood came from nor feels like being a therian is this terrible thing no one would wish upon themselves and I just... ache for others just trying to find some explanation or comfort in themselves.
And with something as PERSONAL and UNIQUE as non humanity it only makes me wish the community was more open to how others identities are personal and how others overlap. And sure I can understand the sentiment that being a therian can be difficult but it's already bled into such a sufferers mindset that if you're happy at all being a therian you must be faking in some way cause "it's miserable". That's just not what it is for me. My experience so deeply personal and hard to describe and not like many others but at the end of the day I'm a therian. Because I see myself as a dog I more comfortable viewing myself as a dog referring to myself as a dog makes me happy! And that's all I, and anyone else, needs to feel or be personally valid in their non-humanity, really.
Me?? Food aggression????? What no never!!!
I just... I just nearly growled at my dad cause he wanted to steal my chips hahaha that's NORMAL!!! EVERYONE DOES THAT!!! I DON'T WANT TO BITE PEOPLE WHEN THEY TAKE MY FOOD WITHOUT ASKING I SWEAR!!!
Also eating up all the food in a short amount of time so that nobody esle can eat it before you is a normal thing to do, right? 🤨
finding out you’re a therian is this crazy “everything makes sense now” moment because of course I’m scared of elevators and airplanes and ovens, they’re unnatural and I shouldn’t trust them. Of course I communicate better through physical touch and simple noises, I’m not made to speak for long periods of time or at all, really. Of course beef jerky and chicken and meats are my favorite snacks, they’re how I get the energy and nutrients to survive. Of course I’m drawn to fields and mountains and forests, that’s where I’m supposed to live. Of course I hate the city, there’s too many humans and machines and loud noises and not enough grass. Of course I love being a camp counselor, I get to shepherd little kids, just like I would with sheep or pups. Of course I don’t act like a human, I’m an animal.

any other dog therians wanna do this with me ^_^ (we are playing and being happy and and :333)
All you people who ramble about """fake therians""" are forgetting that otherlink/copinglink people are real and valid
What you SHOULD say to "fakers" instead of "THERIANTHROPY ISN'T A CHOICE YOU IDIOT FUCKING FAKER" is "Hey, being a therian isn't a choice, but being otherlink/copinglink is, so you should use that label instead"
This post was brought to you by a psychological therian
was recently thinking about my relationship with alterhumanity, specifically being a therian, and funnily enough it is my most neutral(?) identity in terms of how i experience it.
i don't get a lot of shifts, i don't have a super detailed knowledge of my theriotypes, or how i look, heck, i don't even know the origin of my therianthropy! all i know is that sometimes im a fox, sometimes a dog, and sometimes a crow.
and you know what?
i don't care!
i just know that i am, and that's enough

Reblog if you're not human
You will never always be cool. Or aesthetic, or pleasing.
No matter what you are, be it a majestic dragon, a powerful wolf, the void itself, a bunny, or even a song, a concept or object. Anything.
We almost all are organisms or living, one way or another, and organisms do strange and gross things. A wolf still needs the bathroom, a "cutesy" bunny may still need sexual things or things that aren't "innocent", sometimes even a God or holy figure may want to mess around and play with their hands like puppets. An eldrich being may make a childish sound to stim.
Everyone is gross or weird or uncool sometimes. It's just our nature as individuals. Let yourself need and want these things, and accept the weirdness being individual brings.
I think paws, ears and a tail would GREATLY increase my mood rn

Honestly y'all need to chill with the "nonhumaness needs to be involuntary!"
The only reason you're saying that is due to wanting to present 'valid' enough for outsiders. It's not a choice so they won't bully you, like they do furries or other people.
And I hear you cry "but KFF!". KFF aren't nonhuman, they just relate. If someone comes over to me and says "I choose to be nonhuman today, I am nonhuman no matter what other ppl tell me. I genuinely identify as nonhuman." That isn't KFF, that's a nonhuman.
Truly, I'll just go "woah...that's so based". Because truly, what are our differences? We both genuinely identify as nonhuman....and yeah that's about it.
You might say, "they don't experience shifts!" There's nonhumans that don't experience shifts. And there's humans that experience shifts, we call it the "shifter's disease". Basically when a full human researches or is around nonhumans and begins feeling phantoms or feeling nonhuman, despite not being nonhuman. So it isn't exclusive to us.
"They don't have noemata!" There's nonhumans that don't have noemata.
"They don't suffer species dysphoria." Theres nonhumans that don't experience species dysphoria. Also cool transmed rethoric.
"They weren't born with it!" There's nonhumans that become nonhuman later on in life.
"They didn't wish their whole life to be a different species!" And? I can imagine there's some nonhumans that didn't even realize they wanted to be/were a different species.
"It's disrespectful to nonhumans that suffer due to their identity!" Another cool transmed rethoric. It's only disrespectful to you because you're up your own ass and believe that anyone who didn't suffer like you did, that didn't have it as hard as you isn't as valid as yourself. But what you don't realize is by having that belief you are excluding such a large portion of your community.
There's involuntary nonhumans who don't suffer from their identity at all and they're still part of our community.
The line between voluntary and involuntary can get blurry very quickly and hard to describe. But truly, you are no one to say who can use a label that rightfully describes their experiences.
Get real and truly think about why you're so upset at someone having a good faith identity.
Can you help with tips to feel more like my fox? I awakened with that theriotype and I guess that's why I feel the closest to it, but that's the one that I get the most upset and disphoric with.
Here are some tips that might help, friend! :DDD
Foxes have incredible hearing, sight, and smell. Try meditation exercises focusing on these senses. Blindfold yourself in a safe space and listen intently to sounds around you!
Foxes are known for their love of games. Engage in activities that bring you joy and a sense of play, even if it's just for a short time.
Foxes can thrive in various environments. Challenge yourself with new experiences or take a different route on your walk :>
Explore yoga poses that mimic a fox's posture or martial arts that emphasize agility and cunning.
Let loose and move your body intuitively. How would a fox move in this situation?
Foxes are clever creatures. Challenge yourself with puzzles, riddles, or strategy games.
Read about fox behavior, hunting techniques, or social structures.
What situations make you feel the most disphoric about your theriotype? Can you avoid them or develop coping mechanisms?
Experiment and find what works for you. It's also okay to take breaks from focusing on your theriotype if it becomes overwhelming :]
