I know this is a humorous exaggeration designed to show how silly it is to deny medication and mobility/quality of life aids to disabled people by applying the argument to something silly in a way that nobody would ever do but... unfortunately I have heard people say this. I've heard people suggest that people with minor sight problems shouldn't get glasses, and people needing to move to a stronger prescription should do it and should stay on as light a prescription as they can use and still function, because the glasses will "weaken their eyes" and make their eyesight worse (which is bullshit). People will pull this ableist bullshit on glasses wearers, too.

I remember being about four to seven years old and being encouraged by my aunt to not wear my glasses because I could/can see just fine without them, and according to her wearing them supposedly hindered me rather than helping me. She thought that if I took them off, I could "train" my eyes to perform at their absolute best. When my mom picked me up from her house she was very upset by this news, and at my next optometry appointment we had a very good discussion about this with my eye doctor - he reminded me that I don't have glasses because I struggle to see, I have them because I got the early stage of lazy eye, amblyopia, when I was one, which could have developed into unfixable strabismus and permanently hurt my ability to see had my parents not gotten it checked out when they did. Glasses helped me to nurse my left eye back to health, and I'll need to wear them for the rest of my life if I want to avoid developing early strabismus again. Even though I can see clear as day without them. Glasses don't "weaken your eyesight", in cases like mine where my current visual ability is near perfect, they save your eyesight when something goes wrong with it and prevent it from becoming ruined in the future. This goes for a majority of aids for a multitude of other disabilities.
