Podcast opinion: It was FIRE. So fucking good. But so fucking sad. Sophia is such an eloquent speaker and I love the way in which she chose to shed light on the PD situation, and I canβt wait to hear more about it when, or if, she is ready to share more. Iβm just mindfucked. And heartbroken and disgusted and angry.
Also, when the person who was the EP/showrunner of SVU while Jason was having his temper tantrums on set & likely had a huge role in the decision not to allow him on the SVU set any longer retweets the article about why Sophia left PD and tweets his support of taking actorβs claims seriouslyβ¦ You know he has an idea of wtf was happening on that set, and I have no words about how people are still finding it okay.
My heart is literally broken for Sophia. And for all of the other actors and actresses in that position or similar ones.Β
My goal of these posts is to not sound like a broken record, or bash anyone who still chooses to watch PD. I am literally just trying to organize my thoughts and wrap my head around how people can be trying to have these conversations, and fight for whatβs right and fair and safe, and get ignored and abused because they donβt have enough power as a fucking mediocre white man.Β
To all of the people saying the podcast still didnβt explain why Sophia left, or still calling her aΒ βdivaβ orΒ βbitchβ for leaving, please sit down. She owes no explanation. She was mistreated and miserable. Her mental health and fighting for equality are fucking important. I am so sorry that your favorite show has beenΒ βruinedβ due to a phenomenal actress leaving. But donβt blame her for leaving. Look at what (who) made her leave. And place your blame there.Β
