i highkey wanna be a gyaru but it feels weird because ive beej labelling myself as scene/emo for two years now so like maybe ill go for rokku gyaru bc thats the closest to emo or scene wooo

Im still trying to learn stuff about the subculture and im pretty sure the main factor of being gyaru is the makeup snd the mindset (please correct me if im wrong) and i think ive got that covered- ive been attempting to do gyaru eye makeup and going out w it and stuff. the beliefs are mostly like all the other alt subcultures right? Please correct me if im wrong. If youre already a gyaru please give me some tips and stuff im new to gyaru!! I would really appreciate it!!

The mindset is largely about rebelling against unfair and often misogynistic social standards. This especially comes in the form of beauty standards imposed on women- gyaru absolutely does not have to be ugly, nor is it meant to be, but it's also not meant to be a "digestible" style ! It's about expressing yourself and sticking it to the people who think you owe it to them to be conventionally attractive and demure and whatever

There are a good few "dos and don'ts of gyaru makeup" videos online like this one, if you're still new to the makeup, I'd look up a few of those to get a sense for how to get a handle on the makeup !! It's great that you're getting used to it and wearing it out and about though :3

You're right that rokku gyaru is most similar to emo, and if you're into scene, I'd recommend poking around the area of haaady gyaru (aka haady gyaru) as well !! It's a bit of a "dead style" so to speak but there are definitely people who still wear it ! Of course, you don't have to adhere to just one substyle, but I'd recommend starting with one or maybe drawing from two so you know what you're going for, because gyaru is a very diverse subculture in terms of its substyles

Alongside that, it would have a general chat, a place to share art, a separate channel to share other pictures, gyaru-specific channels such as tips and advice, makeup and OOTD channels, and discussion of anything gyaru-related, system-specific channels for managing PK and TB and discussing system-related things (which don't involve syscourse), and VCs !!

The server would be largely geared toward gals and gyaruos and systems with gyaru/o headmates, but those interested in the subculture who don't consider themselves a part of it would be welcome !!
