“Look, Diana --- Bruce and I both see you as a ally and friend, I just hope you share that feeling.” Clark explained, crossing his arms over his chest. “As for the photos, Bruce has the only copy. You’d have to get it from him.”

She chuckled, the shock of fear already starting to fade. A graceful hand pushed the curls from her face, and ever bold Jasmine smirked,” I don’t know, if almost dying will attract good men maybe I should do it more often?”

      “The ONLY reason I was sent here was to PROTECT YOU Clark. Don’t you know how much it hurt me to have to just stand back and watch — what happened..”  Kara took a deep breath. She had been warned off from helping Metropolis as the city fell at the hands of Lex and Doomsday. 

     “That is like asking my age, which is very rude.”

“You actually have time to television?”  “Please, we both know I met no disrespect by it, Bruce merely shared the photograph with me --- I just wanted to know if it were real.”

     Clark floated a few feet from the hard concrete ground, his eyes locked with the young woman before him. He could tell just by her tone and black latex attire that she was definitely one of Bruce’s many so called acquaintances. Honestly, that man had an ability to draw in the strange. “He took the evening off, asked me to watch over his city. After that little event in Metropolis, it was the least I could do in return." 

“Well you’re lucky it wasn’t important, or I would have been surely disappointed by your arrival time.” he teased, crossing his arms over his chest. “Instead I just had a few questions about the past. You were involved in the first World War, yes?”

Harley’s wide eyes darted around them, honestly in a little bit of disbelief about what was happening. “Ya can’t be askin’ me ta promise that after takin’ me fer’ a fly in yer’ hunky arms. That ain’t playin’ fair, S-Man.”

“Yes…” Parker drawled. She rolled her eyes, pulling her badge out of her pocket and showing him. She was a pathological liar, but it was annoying when people didn’t believe her when she was actually telling the truth. “Reynolds. It’s Officer Reynolds.” She laughed. “Really? I thought this was interesting. But, okay. What better circumstances do you suggest?”
