modern au stuff:

school days

that second one had a reference used!! i most definitely didnt mention it, but i always saw them as social media guys... what's faker than the internet? but they grew up suuuper rough.

practically raising themselves in a dingy, old, crummy, tiny room, they still made it out (thanks to their good looks and charisma). though that's where the huge distrust for anyone who wasn't each other, dad, or gramps came from.

ah yeah and theyre not quadruplets in my au, though close in age!!

during their school days era, all of them were fawned over for their looks and reputation as "bad boys." probably known as playboys too… they'd have multiple girlfriends (even boyfriends?) since they knew they'd receive gifts that way. their yandere tendencies are tempered here since they're still developing, but hit like a truck and get worse if you grew up alongside them.

sekido was super studious, determined to get good grades to teach his stupid brothers what they didn't understand (he'd be lost on some subjects, too busy trying to wrangle his bros). because of his anger issues, his reputation was something like a delinquent nerd. he took responsibility as head of the family. he was clueless to how most students were terrified of him by how unstable he was.

assuming you were his special someone he ACTUALLY had feelings for, he's not performative, nor saying stuff he thinks you might like just to butter you up. He's like a very supportive bully. the type to shove you into your class so you wont be late or slam his notes of your weakest subject into your chest. he likes you, but he's going through a lot at this point in life. all he knows is affection via violence.

karaku was a flirt and leaned into the playboy title, known as an ume equivalent by having the record for most times asked out in a day by anybody. he also probably sold the gifts he didnt like from "lovers." grades good enough to pass, he didnt really care about anything but graduating and being a host or something!! now those guys know how to have fun AND make money!!

you know this guy has it bad for you when he actually knows your name, doesnt expect physical gifts, and doesn't have someone on the side. the bare minimum to you, but a lot of effort for him!! he's actually pretty sweet in a way, pulling out some cheesy flirts that get himself flustered because he means it this time. a horrible influence though as he tries coaxing you into ditching class to hang out.

urogi was SUPER popular in school. the type no one believed could be a bad guy with a smile like that. charming in a cute boyish way. he was pretty clumsy (reckless) and was wearing some sort of bandaid somewhere. he'd play up his injuries so he'd get coddled with attention. he was the other bro's distraction that'd allow them to get away with trouble.

seeing you two together is OBNOXIOUS. he's always high energy and lovey dovey no matter the time and complain if you weren't with him every chance you got between classes. though he'd be surprisingly open to you about how he feels, leading to a heart to heart clueing into how damaged he and his brothers are. he won't go into detail about it, but you understand why he likes your praise so much.

aizetsu was "the good one." because everyone kept confusing him for urogi in junior high, he let his hair grow out and kept to himself. that was enough for people to gravitate towards him and treat him nicely which he didnt mind. it made pickpocketing and stealing easier. he was "mysterious" and popular against his will though, so that sucked. he wanted to be left alone.

hanging with you felt like a weight off his shoulders. its stable enough you might catch him smiling. he really didnt care what you guys did so long as it was you two alone.. maybe his brothers. maybe. likes walking with you anywhere and everywhere, but his strength is still insane so you'll casually see him break a desk and turn to you acting like it was really weak anyway. keep it a secret, yeah?

modern au where these four sickos got jealous and started a brawl that involved multiple bystanders who tried to stop them.

It's actually DIABOLICAL how these dudes were given such an amazing design for them to be ghOSTS in kimetsu no gakuen.

in my mind's eye. they're the ones who hantengu gives all his tasks to. why? cause hes not a crimal!!!11!!1 he doesnt even know why he works for muzan…. honest. so ofc hed give the labor to his rambunctious grandkids.

peep the nails too. sekido bit them off in case he had to punch someone (used objects). stayed back but got his shit rocked at some point? karaku used the side of his hands but mostly kicks so his are in tact. got taken by surprise. urogi didnt care and went wild, breaking them all off. went fully feral. didnt care if someone hit him. as long as he hit back. aizetsu managed to keep a few while the others fell off. the least harmed but someone hit his head with a blunt object.

these guys… much more ruthless violent in fights that arent with each other. with each other they pull hair and toss someone but again, the fight was for you, someone they like, so ofc theyd go overboard.

they wanna be the only dudes who you talk to and laugh/yell at. annoying needy mother fuckers is what they are

i LOOOVE sekido being a reassuring older brother even if the things hes reassuring ain't morally correct. nothin matters aside from his own safety and that of his loved ones. a threat is a threat. did you expect him to let it slide?? your honor, thats one of his baby brothers..

and urogi..... he wants to do good by those he loves too so at the prospect of being bad, he gets REALLY upset. if hes bad then hes bringing everyone down with him. luckily(?) he only trusts what his bros tell him, so those doubts are often quickly dashed.

am i gaslighting you all into thinking they actually have this much depth yet?? i like to think that as humans. they DO have morals and doubts like anyone else. just extremely distrustful. they rely on each other to be the only trustworthy ones. its a double edged sword at the same time, being around each other is as unhealthy as being separated.
