Honestly I do it because I feel like he’s extremely mischaracterized in the fandom🫩

But I feel like making him have more of a backbone in my au allows for more ways for him to express himself and the way he feels about a lot of things (his dad, and his brother) because it feels like you never really get his opinion on anything in the manga😭(you do but like in crumbs LMAOAO)

He’s still shy in my au but way more outspoken and WAY more irritable than canon

Also I like the Kyojuro=Ruka’s mannerisms and Senjuro=Shinjuro’s mannerisms dynamic lol so that’s another reason
