*For these headcanons Reader joined them in their beginnings, so I'll explore the changes Reader would be exposed to in the strange situation they are stuck in as the gang grows exponentially

• I'm not sure if one of them got 'fixated' first or if they did at the same time, the sure thing is that by the time both of them get obsessed Reader is completely trapped, because one of them obsessed with you is bad but both of them? Most of the time you're in the middle of a tug of war where you don't have a say, at all, but regardless of who 'wins' in the end I'd say it's a bit less exhausting to deal with them separately, they mostly know how erratic they act for your attention but the thing is that they don't care by now, and their awareness on their actions when it comes to you is not good, Joe and Kalashnikov will use it against each other, wanting your approval they are NOT going to admit it and to be seen as the less 'insane' of the two.

• Even if they rarely reach an agreement to share Reader time and companionship that doesn't mean they just fight between them all the time, they have truces between them when it comes to your safety because it's something that they do not take lightly, in other words they work together to make sure you can't get away from them, it's scary how coordinated they are in that aspect and somehow Reader is never alone, if they can't be with Reader they always have someone else behind you, Reader can't have weapons with them except in specific situations at first, always having to ask either of them and give them a 'good reason' if the gang is not in active danger, with time if Reader adapts resigns successfully to the gang and the 'conditions' they have for you then you can have your weapons at any time without problem.

• But the thing you will never have is a vehicle of your own in the gang, your motorbike? Hm..no it's our motorbike now, we share everything remember? You can argue that Joe has his own, that Kalashnikov has his own, that everyone has his own shit but- They're not having it, so Reader is now forced to sit behind one of them on their motorbikes 'for now', so you will better get accustomed to it because it's going to be that way for a long time, when they finally get cars and trucks into the gang you're not allowed to drive either way of course, but you're always in the same truck as Joe and Kalashnikov.

• When Reader first joined the gang didn't have much and without other option they had to swallow their pride and share sleeping bags, much to your annoyance of course, and to worsen the situation Kalashnikov wasn't the best partner to share it with, at least you felt relieved it was temporary...But after a couple of months it was impossible to ignore how everyone else already stopped sharing but you were still stuck sharing with him, not only that but also working alongside him more and more often, saying something about it wasn't an option, seemingly it was 'permanent' now without explanation, Reader was promised with adrenaline, action, GLORY— But you can't even hold your weapons without asking, asking! It was ridiculous. • With time Reader would notice the closeness from Joe and Kalashnikov, closeness that slowly escalated into hand holding, then into patting, and by the time both guys already hugged you freely, it was too late, Reader was already too tangled up in their cobweb to even have a way back, if there was one in the first place...You tried to think about what would change if you did things differently at some point, if you tried to escape the first two nights, if you refused to join them from the start, but even you knew that you were lying to yourself, It was this or death, and Reader already made the choice without even knowing how things would end.

*His headcanons are shorter/has less types both because by this point of the backstory his 'fixation' is very recent (started a few days ago) and because he is unable to act the way he wants to (he is a hostage in the gang)

• It wouldn't be hard for Reader to notice the sudden interested he has for you, most likely after Reader helped him with something or in some way, in this point of the story he was defenseless and after Reader did something he considered 'meaningful' the switch on his attitude was quick, now he's looking for you and asking things about Reader all the time until the point other people in the gang would think there 'something going on' between him and you, obviously it's platonic but the others wouldn't see the situation that way, it doesn't matter to him, it's none of their business in his perspective, the others wouldn't tell him any information in the end but he's not going to give up after this point of his 'fixation', it took three days before he already knew basically every detail about you he could notice or find, either if you noticed or not...it's already too late.

• He's a jealous yandere, a extremely jealous yandere even more than the other two to the point of monopolizing Reader attention with the intention of keeping it all to himself, but fortunately for Reader he can't do much now trapped as a hostage in the Colonel gang, that means he can't demand anything of Reader, not affection or even a bit of your time, so there's no other option in his perspective but beg and annoy you for attention even if it's a negative reaction, Reader having a annoyed or even worse, aggressive approach hurts him but it's better than nothing...

• Somehow he's always near you or rather beside you even when he's not supposed to, if forced to be away from Reader he will get anxious and uneasy quickly as soon as Reader is out of his sight, he will likely become erratic if forced to be away from his Darling for days on end, unfortunately for you if he's forced to be away it will be for a few hours at most, deep down he wishes for you to have a positive image of him and if Reader says something about him or his behavior, either positive or negative he will take it seriously, his approach with Reader would be docile but that doesn't mean he is like that all the time, luckily his aggressiveness would be directed at the ones he perceives as a 'threat' of course.

♡ Deredere behavior -

• To further worsen his emotional stability he is a very affectionate and physical yandere who is unable to fully show his affection towards Reader, at best he can hold your hand...when no one's paying attention, if you even allow him to in the first place, if it were up to him he would without a doubt spend the whole day playing with your hair, holding you and talking with you freely without the usual anxiety or concern of being dragged away from Reader side again, he knows he's clingy but he can't help it around Reader, and by the look of it he's not even making an attempt to control it at all.

• His nicknames for Reader would be "Dear" and "Pumpkin" if you accepted ignored or even better, reacted positively at his affectionate names his expression would be a mix of tenderness and unblinking intensity, he would stare at Reader this way without noticing it half of the time, he's not accustomed to it yet, to these protective but all consuming feelings that are completely new to him and he's naturally curious about it, not that he disliked it- on the contrary staying with you, the one who helped him makes him feel safe and comfortable.

• He may look suspicious by the way he suddenly wants to spend time with Reader or the way he stares intensely at them, Kalashnikov quickly goes from barely recognizing your presence to searching any possible excuse to be near you, he without a doubt ignored Reader at first, answering reluctantly as soon as Reader told him something or not responding at all, but now it's almost like he can't stand being away from you, he's also eager or rather desperate for any conversation opportunity he can get with Reader, he wants, needs to hear details about you, no matter how stupid, insignificant or specific you think it is, even if Reader doesn't tell him much after some time he will know every detail, small mannerisms and exact likes and dislikes of Reader without explanation.

• Unfortunately for Reader he's not sending anyone else to watch them from afar and then report it to him, he prefers to do it himself, to 'watch' you for himself, if he sent anyone else to do it how is he supposed to know if the one he sent is actually telling the truth when reporting to him?! He can't afford to waste time on something he's not 'sure' about, when he could expend that time on you, with you, no no, if you want something done right, do it yourself...You'll only notice him following you when he wants to, mostly when he wants an excuse to talk or at least interact with Reader, otherwise you won't notice him, at all, he knows specific details about things that seem small or insignificant but somehow he knows, the exact order of how you eat your food, what things you have on your pockets, you didn't tell him but he already knows.

• His possessiveness towards Reader would start shortly after Kalashnikov 'recognizes' his feelings, but it isn't a gradual change, and he quickly finds a way to be near you almost all day basically clinging to Reader like a leech, after you're already on his 'protection' he gets more strict and controlling about how far you can be from him, if you're away for long he will say 'you're avoiding him' so...using his rank in the Colonel gang you're now working alongside him, permanently, Reader shouldn't question it, it's for your own good! It's better for you him if you stay closer, safe, and with the protection someone who loves you, don't be so stubborn...he will take good care of you.

• Kalashnikov himself doesn't seem like a jealous person or at least doesn't act like it usually, but he's actually a jealous person, and gets extremely jealous of other people interacting with his Darling, so instead of forcing himself into a conversation Reader is having with someone else and then mocking the one who's talking with Reader, he will instead make an scene...screaming and pushing, even degrading the other person until he scares or force the person away from Reader, after you end up on his grasp it's very unlikely that he will be willing to 'share' Reader with other people, after all in HIS eyes almost everyone 'might have bad intentions'.

• Kalashnikov would start to do things for Reader even before he has you on his grasp, that crate? He will carry it for you, you're not polishing your weapons the right way! Don't worry though...he'll show you how to do it properly, Kalashnikov genuinely likes to do things for Reader but that's also because he wants to you to depend on him and his help, even if it's forced at first, he would also encourage Reader to seek him, and only him at your first option for help, his way of isolation would be quick and after some time it will be part of Reader routine.

• If Kalashnikov is interacting with Reader he's surprisingly sweet, at least as sweet as Kalashnikov can be considering his rough personality, he's more of a verbal one with affection but will give you few nicknames probably just 'Brother/Sister', 'Comrade' or 'Kid' if Reader is younger than him even if you are just a year younger than Kalashnikov, will constantly tell Reader 'I love you' almost every time of the day, telling you how important you are to him and how much he cares about you...he's also assertive in his affection and doesn't feel ashamed at all to show his love for Reader in front of other people, he is actually proud of it.

• When being physically affectionate he would pat Reader in the head, shoulder, or in the back, he would place a hand around Reader shoulder to hold you or pull you closer to him in a half hug, sometimes giving you a kiss on the head from time to time, in his clinginess he would demand that both him and Reader share a sleeping bag even if he's not a 'big cuddler', Kalashnikov definitely hugs you as a greeting and then hugs Reader again when they have to separate for a while, not for long of course, but he isn't going to admit he needs that reassurance.

• The look in Kalashnikov face while he stares at Reader is unnerving, maybe he's not the most beautiful or the most handsome guy in existence, but the way his face twists between softness and obsession while making direct eye contact with you is enough to send a shiver down your spine at first, with time Reader would get used to it, because that's the expression you would see most of the time after he gets what he wants, your attention, your warm company, and most importantly and with enough time your affection.

• It's obvious that to Joe- what you can do for HIM defines how he sees you, how much he values you or respects you, and your worth as a person in his eyes, but in the case of being his Darling that doesn't matter anymore, he ends up seeing his Darling as a extension of himself, Joe doesn't expect much from Reader not in a way that means he's disappointed though, just in the way that Reader doesn't need to prove anything to him, or being actually forced to do anything to 'deserve' his attention, on the contrary he may think that Reader is clearly worthy of all his attention and his all consuming protectiveness, but being 'worthy' of his affection doesn't mean Reader actually gets the same respect Joe men get from him.

• Maybe Reader won't see Joe actually follow them, but Reader will clearly notice a raider following them from time to time, always a different one, or Reader suddenly noticing one of their stuff, maybe a glove or small useless things being gone without logical explanation, and later Joe appears with the missing object and say Reader 'left' something by accident the last time they half talked or something...Or he simply wouldn't return anything he took from Reader, to keep it for himself, or somehow he knows how you like your half edible food, or that you had a fight even if he wasn't there...Right? Later when he finally has Reader in his 'protection' he thinks he's in his right to demand affection from Reader whenever he wants, as a thank you for being so 'considerate' with paying attention to every detail from Reader all the time.

• As soon as Reader is in his grasp he'll make sure that you can't get away from his sight ever again, not for long at least, in the case that he has to be away from Reader for one reason or another there will always be someone guarding or accompanying Reader, without exception, you will be with Joe most of the time because that's the only option you will get from him, the 'right' option in his eyes is trusting him and doing everything together, because in Joe perspective that is the best for Reader, sitting next to each other, eating together, and even placing your sleeping bag next to his, until Reader can't question it anymore, why would they question it in the first place? When Joe just wants the best for you...

• I can see Joe as a Platonic Yandere with paternal or even brotherly traits mixed with a good amount of delusion, so he thinks he's already Reader's 'protector' as soon as the fixation begins, he might even refer to himself as part of Reader family with other people or even in front of Reader, yeah Joe knows that he's not Reader biological father, or brother or anything, but he doesn't care in the slightest, he IS part of Reader family now so...why would Reader deny it? Why would Reader deny his care, his love, when it's obvious he's IS the best option to protect Reader? Joe doesn't know how to handle rejection, so to him is clear that Reader is...'confused' about what they need, what a relief that he's here now to show you the truth!

• He is a extremely jealous and possessive person either in his younger or older version, so at first Joe one way or another would get involved in conversations Reader is having with someone else, he is naturally charming and have a way with words so it wouldn't be a surprise that in the best case Joe would mock the person who Reader is talking to, and easily turn the conversation about himself, or even better for Joe make the conversation about Reader, in the worst case on a situation where he already has Reader where he wants them is not a surprise that isolation is the next step, Reader can still interact with Joe inner circle in his gang, but as expected...with clear restrictions and rules.

• He would want compliance from the start, that's how it is, he can be patient the first times if Reader tried to go away but his patience has limits, and if Reader pushes too much he will get tired of waiting, and his attitude will quickly change in his anger if Reader keeps denying him, he could try complete isolating Reader, or directly demanding affection or favors from Reader as a 'compensation' for the lack of compliance until he feels satisfied, on the worst case he may get physically violent, but not actually hitting or punching Reader, maybe a rough grab that leave the skin red here and there or a bruise from him grabbing Reader arm without thinking, but after some thinking he will get regretful, actually regretful, Joe would try to make amends and that leads to the other side of the coin, forceful and suffocating affection more than usual until the regret goes away, then everything returns to normal.

• Remember about stuff being gone? That was just about the objects Reader noticed being gone, and at the same time there's other things that Reader wouldn't notice being gone at all, things that Joe keeps to himself and that only he knows about, like a lock of your hair, a bandage, or even an object with Reader scent like a bandana, scarf or any accessory that Reader was throwing away as soon as it got too torn or dirty, don't worry though...he's just curious about you, your essence in all it's purity, and you'll never notice it, nor anyone else, Joe knows how to be discreet about this kind of things.

♡ Deredere behavior -

• Joe fixation would start slowly, and the first change in his approach is how he talks to Reader suddenly giving them nicknames, 'Kiddo' 'Buddy' 'Son'/Daughter', then the nicknames get more and more affectionate over time until he calls Reader 'Sweetie/sweetheart', 'Honey' 'Love' 'Darling' 'Dear', by that point he will be very affectionate when talking with Reader, but also very condescending, it's not that Joe sees you as stupid or something but his superiority complex mixed with him being a Yandere distorts his point of view about Reader until he can't help but see them in a condescending way.

• Joe is also physically affectionate towards Reader, at first it would be just pats, a lot of pats, pats on the back or shoulder, mostly head pats that end up with him playing with your hair, other subtle actions at first would be Joe sitting close until his shoulders brushes with Reader shoulders, to holding your hand freely, and even interlacing his fingers with yours when holding hands, then it would slowly escalate to him actually holding or hugging them, when he finally has Reader on his grasp it will become actual cuddling and face stroking, even lightly pinching their cheek with a grin.

• He's not actually clingy as a yandere but that doesn't mean he isn't intense, Joe stare is usually intimidating in general but as a yandere the intensity in his eyes can be disconcerting, without the gasmask Reader can see his whole expression and not only his eyes, in a way the softness in his face mixed with the possessiveness when staring at Reader looks out of place in his usual hard face, this side of him is the one Reader would see the most in a case where they doesn't fight much against him, or by the point where Reader is already where he wants them.
