(at the dividing line)

we have an indoor/outdoor cat, Larry, who only still goes outside because we can't get her litter trained.

there is someone's former indoor/outdoor cat that comes around (we call him Chicken Nugget and apparently he ran off for a long while and then the owner moved, we sorted it out and look after him and send update pics to the previous owner but he's essentially a half-stray now), and there is a gray cat we call Warren that comes around and we feed and pet and check on etc, and he's wanted to be Larry's boyfriend for a while but has accepted she is Not Interested.

tonight Warren made me big cry.

i took my dog out for his night time potty and was calling for Larry, who LOVES being outside when the weather is warm so it's much harder to get her to come inside but it was like 1am so she needed to come in but no dice. didn't see her, she wasn't on the deck, etc. I came inside and then went out the other door to check the porch and Warren was still hanging out, looking for love.

i called for Larry a few times and Warren started bumping my legs, so I gave him some pets and explained I was looking for his girlfriend Larry. so Warren starts walking towards the deck, and I follow him for shits and giggles, asking if he's showing me where his girlfriend Larry is. this cat, I swear. he goes to the front of my car, climbs on the hood (its accessible via the deck) and is meowing the whole time. he jumps down between the garbage cans and my car, still meowing, so I ask if Larry is under the car, and again, meow meow meow, so I dart back inside to grab my flashlight, come out the front door and find Warren nosing under my car, shine the light, and there's Larry.
