I redesigned him in a first place because his original design was not only ugly, but nonsensical. Since they made WBR look more stone-ish in remake, why's Jewel still look organic? I'm gonna assume that he's made of various gemstones (pearls for eyeballs, sunstone(?) for lips and ivory for teeth (duh) so fair enough I guess.

I changed his velvet color from red to indigo to avoid the similarities of King Dedede if he was humanoid.

Samuel has a lot of energy so he's ready for some adventures. He shared the same feelings to others, especially for his partner. He always believe that others are good or honest and won't harm or deceive him. He has to pay attention to one of his friends carefully otherwise he'll be in a big problem. He can be unusual in interesting way, but not at all. Sam wanted to protect someone from criticism, hurt, danger, et cetera, most likely his boyfriend and friends. He behaves like a child regardless of his age and would like to cause some trouble in playful way since his chickhood. He can be noisy, especially for playing music.
